Meet Saebom Lee of irvine

Today we’d like to introduce you to Saebom Lee.

Hi Saebom , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I have always been deeply interested in studying human movement and function, especially the way athletes, dancers, and other physically active individuals move and the results those movement patterns create.

This passion led me to discover BASI Pilates in 2018. After completing my certification, I continued my education through mentorship and advanced master-level training, constantly seeking to deepen my understanding of movement and the human body.

As my curiosity grew, I began exploring the broader possibilities of movement through Gyrotonic®. I completed my training and started teaching, and today I operate a private studio in Irvine, California, where I help clients move more freely, efficiently, and confidently through both Pilates and Gyrotonic.

My goal is not simply to teach exercise, but to help individuals better understand their own bodies and improve their overall quality of life. Witnessing clients gain strength, freedom, and confidence in their movement is incredibly rewarding. The joy and sense of freedom that both my clients and I experience through movement is one of the greatest gifts of this work, and it continues to inspire me every day.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It has not always been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges was building a business while continuing my own education and professional development. I am deeply passionate about movement and understanding how the body functions, so balancing teaching, training, and running a private studio required a great deal of time, patience, and commitment.

Another challenge was helping people understand the value of mindful movement. Many clients come in focused only on pain or fitness goals, but true change often requires consistency and a deeper awareness of how the body moves. Learning how to guide each person through that process has been both challenging and rewarding.

These experiences taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of lifelong learning. They have ultimately helped me become a better instructor and business owner.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I see my calling as helping people experience healing and transformation through movement, so they can live healthier and more meaningful lives.

I also pray that I may always uphold sincerity and attentiveness as the most important values in my work.

I am deeply grateful that I get to witness positive changes in people’s lives, and that very experience continues to be the driving force behind my ongoing study and dedication.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I don’t have anything in particular that I dislike about the city.

What I like most is the overall atmosphere. There is a good balance in lifestyle, the energy of the people is positive, and it feels like a place that is both comfortable for daily life and inspiring for work and creativity.
