Story & Lesson Highlights with Patrishia Anderson of Los Angeles

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Patrishia Anderson . Check out our conversation below.

Patrishia , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
I’m being called to stop playing small. I used to be afraid of chasing big goals because I didn’t want to fail or look crazy for dreaming too big. Now I understand that my journey becoming an aircraft mechanic, creating opportunities for my kids, and stepping into creative and tech spaces is bigger than my fear. I’m choosing courage over comfort.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Patrishia. I’m a mother of three, a nail artist, content creator, and future aircraft mechanic working toward a career in aerospace. For six years, being a nail artist was my career, and it allowed me to support my family while building independence and confidence as a businesswoman. Even though I’m not doing nails full-time right now, it’s still a big part of who I am because it taught me discipline, creativity, and how to create opportunities for myself.

My journey hasn’t been traditional. I’ve balanced motherhood, career changes, and rebuilding financially while trying to create real stability and opportunity for my kids. I share parts of that journey through content and creative projects because I want people especially women and young moms to know it’s okay to grow, pivot, and chase new dreams without erasing where you came from.

Right now, I’m focused on building my future in aviation and tech while continuing to create and grow my platforms, all with the goal of building long-term freedom and security for my family. I’m still in the middle of my story, and I think that’s what makes it relatable people get to see the growth as it happens.

Okay, so here’s a deep one: What part of you has served its purpose and must now be released?
The version of me that played small or stayed in survival mode has done its job. Now I’m learning to let that go and step into growth, confidence, and bigger opportunities for my family and myself.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
I’d tell her, “Stop being so hard on yourself. You’re stronger, smarter, and more capable than you realize, and the life you dream about is closer than it feels.”

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
They’d probably say growth and creativity matter most to me. I’m always trying to build something bigger, learn something new, and create opportunities for myself and my family.

Thank you so much for all of your openness so far. Maybe we can close with a future oriented question. What light inside you have you been dimming?
I think I’ve dimmed how big I actually think and dream at times, worrying about being misunderstood or feeling like I needed to play things safe. Now I’m learning that my ideas, creativity, and ambitions deserve space, and it’s okay to be seen going after more.
