Today we’d like to introduce you to Tino Relz.
Tino, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started making music when I was 13. I had a homemade studio at the edge of my bed for years, from my bedroom to legit studios I worked my way up as much as possible. Now I’m one of the IE’s hottest artists, staying consistent & building connections with great like-minded individuals has kept my name buzzing in some memorable rooms & spaces.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Never, it’s only smooth when I’m in the process of making the music. Staying consistent has been my biggest challenge along with getting the right gigs to keep my name afloat, paying to perform isn’t always as promising as getting booked by genuine people who truly like what you do.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a music artist on the rise who also specializes in videography as well as photography, but I’m mostly known as an impeccable rapper. I’m most proud of myself honestly, after almost 10 years I’m not exactly where I’d like to be just yet but the more I create the closer I feel I’m getting & one of my goals was to build a catalog of great music so I don’t have to look back & say “Damn. I wish I would’ve started.”
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I have to give credit to a lot of great people I met along my journey. My chosen brothers I grew up with have always seen the vision & still wait on me to blow up, a lot of other dope artists/producers I’ve gotten the opportunity to work closely with (Tre$way, Maitro, Wavy C, Blvck Lefty & Noa James) who all play a big part in helping me build my catalog & gain more fans as well as experience as an artist. Tre$way, Wavy C & Blvck Lefty are long time high school friends who have been around for different versions of me & not just within music. Maitro is my producer of 10 years & counting, we haven’t even met in person still yet we’ve accomplished so much as an artist & producer duo. He plays a big part in helping shape/find my sound that became my original formula. Noa James has become I look up to as more than an artist but a human being. He’s given me countless opportunities to perform & showcase my work, always giving great advice & setting even greater examples for others from kids to adults. I truly do appreciate everything each one of these people have done for me. But the most important supporter in my life has always & forever will be my Mom. She saw the vision before I even decided to officially make music. Being a choreographer she inspired a lot of my creativity, I’ve watched my Mom work with a few famous individuals & build different connections through that. Who would’ve thought I’d grow up networking the same way as a rap artist?
