Today we’d like to introduce you to George Arvanitidis.
Hi George, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey started in Greece, where I was raised in a culture deeply rooted in the arts. At 14, I made my theatrical debut in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and at 15, I won first prize in Greece’s National Student Singing Competition. That early win gave me the conviction to pursue this as a career, eventually leading me to the UK to study at the University of Oxford.
While at Oxford, I specialized in Vocals and Harmony, a discipline that completely shifted my perspective on art. It deepened my understanding of music and performance, giving me a technical foundation that allows me to bridge the gap between a ‘Rock and Roll’ spirit and a highly versatile vocal range.
The move to the US happened after an acting showcase in Los Angeles caught the eye of my first manager and agent. Since then, I’ve built a career that balances film, TV, and stand-up comedy with my primary passion: music. I’ve released three singles that reflect different sides of my artistry—the rock-driven ‘Hold On,’ the soulful ‘Living in Fear,’ and my tropical Latin-house track, ‘Trip in My Mind.’
The last year has been a whirlwind of live performance.
I’ve been honored to play global stages in London and Athens, but some of my favorite moments have happened right here in LA—from performing the Halftime Show at the Los Angeles Bachata Festival and the Los Angeles Fashion Week, to my first sold-out Live Nation show at The Peppermint Club this past December.
Right now, I’m focusing on my debut album, Trip In My Mind. It’s a project that brings all my influences into one story and also currently preparing for my upcoming Official LiveNation Show as a headliner at The Peppermint Club on April 17th so I’m extremely excited at the moment. At the end of the day, I’m still that kid from Greece who fell in love with a stage, just with a much bigger world to share it with.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I truly believe that in this industry, a smooth road is a privilege independent artists rarely experience. There are always obstacles, but I think that’s what makes the success so precious. I’ve seen many people try to take shortcuts, but those shortcuts usually lead to a weak foundation—like a house of cards that eventually collapses and takes their career with it.
For me, the obstacles are just part of the game; you learn to live with them and grow through them. At the end of the day, that’s what separates the people who do this because they like it from the ones who do it because they are it. Resilience is what defines an artist.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
At my core, I am a storyteller. Whether I’m behind a microphone or on a film set, my work is about finding the honest thread that connects us all. I specialize in a certain kind of vocal versatility—a blend of the ‘Rock and Roll’ spirit I’ve always carried and the technical discipline I refined while studying at Oxford.
I’m perhaps best known for refusing to stay in one lane. I’m just as at home performing a rock anthem as I am singing a tropical Latin-house track like ‘Trip in My Mind.’ What I am most proud of isn’t necessarily the venues themselves, but the moments of connection within them—like seeing high-fashion personalities jumping and dancing to my music, the Latin community embracing my show, or feeling the energy of a sold-out crowd at The Peppermint Club.
What sets me apart, I hope, is a bone-deep respect for the foundation of this art. I don’t look for shortcuts; I believe in the slow work of building something real. I’m a Greek artist who traveled a long way to find a home in Los Angeles, and I try to bring that entire journey—the history, the struggle, and the joy—into every note I sing. I don’t just do this because I love it; I do it because it’s who I am.
The latest project I’m currently working on—and one I am incredibly proud of—is my upcoming concert at The Peppermint Club in Los Angeles on April 17th. My team and I are preparing something truly special for all of our fans and friends, and I can’t wait to share that energy with the audience.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
Apps have become an essential part of our daily lives—especially for artists. You will always find tools like Logic Pro, Adobe Premiere, and MasterWriter open in the background of my Mac. To me, this isn’t just software; this is where the work happens. These are the engines that allow me to capture a melody or edit a visual the moment inspiration strikes.
When I’m chilling and need to recharge, I usually step away from the screen and dive into DC or Marvel Comics, or lose myself in a book about Middle-earth. There’s something about those expansive, mythic worlds that fuels my own creativity and reminds me of the power of epic storytelling.
