We’re looking forward to introducing you to Brigitte Pollio . Check out our conversation below.
Brigitte , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: What is a normal day like for you right now?
I wake up and take a short walk with my dogs around the neighborhood, then I go to my favorite spot for breakfast. After that, I head back home or to the office to brainstorm some creative ideas for my client. I do photoshoots, have meetings, and before dinner I play the piano or guitar. I have dinner and probably keep playing afterward, because it gives me a lot of creative space.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m a freelance photographer, videographer, and director, and my work takes me all over the world. I collaborate with clients in both the U.S. and Europe. I recently wrapped up shooting a music video for a country singer, I work with a California-based kids’ fashion eCommerce brand, and I’m currently creating photos and videos for a German costume company.
I love traveling, but being in Los Angeles is what I love most in the world. I share my life with my partner, Fabiana, who helps me develop all my creative projects and supports me in my work, and together we have four dogs. I also enjoy spending time with friends, going on trips, and playing music together.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
One moment that really changed how I see the world was when I was walking around the city, camera in hand, and suddenly noticed how every little detail—a shift in the light, a fleeting gesture, a shadow moving across a scene—can tell a whole story. That’s when it hit me: the world isn’t just what’s on the surface, but all the little things that usually go unnoticed. Photography and videography taught me to really pay attention, to find beauty and meaning in those tiny moments, and to capture stories that might otherwise go unseen.
Do you remember a time someone truly listened to you?
Yes, I remember it very clearly. It happened during a delicate phase in my career, when I was trying to redefine my style. A curator I was working with sat down with me and truly listened — to my uncertainties, my intentions, and the stories behind each shot. She didn’t try to steer me, but to understand. That moment reminded me how genuine listening can unlock creativity and help an artist rediscover their own voice.”
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
The cultural value I protect at all costs is the culture of freedom. I believe that freedom of thought, expression, and choice is the foundation of any healthy and creative society. Without freedom, there’s no room for innovation, art, or personal growth. Protecting this value means defending the ability to be yourself, to explore new ideas, and to live authentically, while also respecting the freedom of others.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace in the morning when I wake up and realize I’m in the city I love, surrounded by the people I care about, and doing the work of my dreams. It’s a moment of calm and gratitude, where everything feels aligned—my surroundings, my relationships, and my passions. That sense of harmony gives me energy and clarity for the day ahead, and makes me appreciate the life I’ve built.
