Today we’d like to introduce you to Nayeli.

Hi Nayeli , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I was inspired to return to school after an unpleasant encounter at immigration court. As I entered the courtroom, I saw both despair and hope reflected in the faces of those present. Some were represented by attorneys who argued passionately on their behalf, while others stood alone, presenting their cases before an administrative judge. The combination of discouragement, resilience, and determination I witnessed that day motivated me to pursue the study of law.
In 2020, I had the privilege of working with the Public Law Center in the city of Santa Ana as part of the Homelessness Prevention Team. Our work focused on assisting self-represented litigants in avoiding default during eviction proceedings and expediting rental assistance applications during a national health crisis. Through this experience, I came to understand that the practice of law extends far beyond the courtroom. I learned the power of advocacy through the careful preparation of legal documents.
It was also during this time that I was introduced to mediation. Mediation taught me that not every legal issue requires a courtroom battle. I realized I could help facilitate conflict resolution and keep individuals and families out of court by guiding them toward practical, cooperative solutions.
Motivated by these experiences, I left traditional employment to launch LDA Legal Solutions, a legal document preparation service for self-represented litigants. By preparing essential legal documents, we create a pathway to the justice system for individuals who may not have the financial means to seek full legal representation or who simply need assistance with routine paperwork. In addition, LDA Legal Solutions offers mediation services in Family Law, Eviction, and Community matters. Through mediation, we help families avoid litigation by drafting parenting plans, facilitating amicable divorces, and working toward fair and lasting resolutions.
Our mission is simple: access to legal support should not be complicated or costly. We are committed to making the legal process easier to navigate, more affordable, and always centered on peace of mind and resolution.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Leaving traditional employment was challenging, but it opened the door to the world of entrepreneurship. Launching LDA Legal Solutions and building it from the ground up was not only a creative process but also an opportunity to align the business with both our mission and my personal values. Striking that balance was not always easy. However, I learned that a company can embody the egalitarian principles of its founder while still upholding its mission and capitalizing on the services it provides.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of meeting people from all walks of life and income levels. Each interaction has shaped the way I view life and how I run my business. Among all those influences, one of the most defining has been Bernardo Lopez, an immigration and criminal attorney in Los Angeles, California.
Bernardo taught me what true commitment to clients looks like. Through his leadership and example, I learned the importance of serving with integrity, professionalism, and an unwavering dedication to the people who trust us with their legal matters. His commitment continues to inspire me to uphold the highest ethical standards and to remain focused on what matters most: the client.
