We’re looking forward to introducing you to Precious Castillo. Check out our conversation below.
Good morning Precious, we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: Have any recent moments made you laugh or feel proud?
A couple of months ago, I had the incredible opportunity to be part of my very first music video with LA Cynthia Diaz. This experience was so much more than just being on set—it was a moment of self-expression and storytelling. I was able to share my journey and speak on what it means to be a proud immigrant daughter, something that has shaped so much of who I am today.
What I loved most was the powerful message behind the video. It wasn’t just art—it was representation, resilience, and a reminder that our stories matter. Being surrounded by such creative energy and contributing my own truth made the entire experience unforgettable. I walked away feeling proud, inspired, and more connected to my roots than ever before.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi my name is Precious aka saucy precious or you can call me saucy you’re probably wondering why saucy right you if you know me personally my personality is full of flavor real bubbly goofy and sweet . One of my strongest passions is doing my make up it is literally my girl therapy no matter what I go through. I know I can always turn to a good make up look not only does it help me express myself. It’s something that will always be a part of me. I believe every woman deserves to feel confident, sexy, and unapologetically herself. Saucy Precious is more than beauty and fashion—it’s about embracing every curve, every imperfection, and every side of who you are. Through skincare, beauty, and plus-size fashion, I inspire women to step into their power, own their softness and their strength, and walk with the kind of confidence that turns heads. Saucy Precious is where sass meets sophistication, and where women are reminded that they are always worthy of love, luxury, and a little bit of sparkle. Saucy Precious is where confidence meets luxury. I empower women to embrace their beauty, style, and curves with sass, sophistication, and unapologetic self-love.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
The very first moment I felt powerful in my career was when I realized I wasn’t just creating content—I was creating impact. For years, beauty and fashion felt like spaces where I didn’t always see myself reflected, so I began sharing my own voice, my own style, and my own journey with skincare and plus-size fashion. The turning point came when I landed my very first collaboration. It wasn’t about the paycheck alone—it was the validation that my creativity, confidence, and perspective had real value. I remember thinking, this isn’t just a passion, this is a platform. That moment showed me that my influence could empower other women to step into their own confidence, embrace their beauty, and feel unapologetically powerful in their skin. From then on, I stopped playing small. I knew I had the ability to change the narrative and bring a little more sass, luxury, and self-love into this industry.
When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
There was a moment in my life, a pivotal moment, when I realized that I had a voice—a voice that deserved to be heard, that could no longer be stifled or pushed aside. For years, I let my thoughts and feelings sit quietly within me, keeping them bottled up out of fear, or perhaps a misplaced sense of duty to protect the emotions of others. I believed that my own feelings weren’t as important as those around me, that it was my job to ensure everyone else was comfortable, even at the expense of my own emotional well-being.But then, something shifted. I started to understand that silence wasn’t strength. It was merely a mask—one that I had worn for far too long. When I stopped silencing my emotions and started acknowledging them as valid, everything changed. My voice, once a whisper, began to grow stronger.
At first, it was hard. There was a lingering fear of rejection, a worry that if I spoke up too much, or too loudly, I might upset the delicate balance I had worked so hard to maintain. But the more I used my voice—first with small, simple words of encouragement and then with more profound truths—the more I realized the power it had not only to heal my own heart but to motivate and uplift others. There was something transformative about being unapologetically myself, something empowering about recognizing that my emotions were not a burden but a testament to my humanity.Over time, I started using my voice not just for my own healing but to inspire those around me. I understood that the people I cared about needed to hear the truth, not just the soft, filtered version of it. They needed to see that vulnerability wasn’t weakness, that being open about one’s emotions was a brave act of strength. It became clear to me that by encouraging others to embrace their own voices, I was helping them set their own struggles free. It wasn’t just about motivation; it was about creating a ripple effect of authenticity and self-respect.
Looking back, I realize how long I lived in the shadow of my own fear, too afraid to admit my pain or acknowledge my worth. But once I realized my emotions were just as valid as anyone else’s, once I gave myself the freedom to express them without guilt or hesitation, everything began to shift. I found not only my voice but my purpose in it—empowering myself and others to embrace our emotions and live truthfully, without apology.
Now, I speak not just for myself but for those who are still silent, still hiding their feelings, still afraid to let their voices be heard. Because I know, with certainty, that once we learn to speak up and honor our emotions, we begin to live not just for others—but for ourselves.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
One cultural value I protect at all costs is family and heritage . No matter where life take me or how much the world around me changes, I hold tight to where I come from. My roots are my foundation – they remind me of my strength , resilience , and the sacrifices that my parents made and those who came before me . Being deeply connected to my culture keeps me grounded . Its in the way we celebrate , the stories we tell , the food we share, and the love we pour into one another . Carrying my family’s legacy forward is more than honoring tradition – it’s making sure their dreams continue to bloom through me . Protecting my heritage isn’t about resisting change , its about never forgetting who I am while i grow into who I’m becoming
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. When do you feel most at peace?
I’ve come to realize that I feel the most at peace when I’m doing my makeup. There’s something about the process—the quiet focus, the steady hand, the way each stroke of color transforms not just my appearance, but my mindset. It’s like a ritual, a space where I can be fully present with myself, where all the noise of the world falls away. In those moments, it’s just me and the art, and I find comfort in the rhythm of it. The way it calms my mind and allows me to connect with my inner self, without needing to explain or justify anything to anyone.
Then, there’s something uniquely calming about interacting with animals. Whether it’s a gentle pet or simply observing their behavior, animals have a way of grounding me in the present. Their unconditional acceptance and quiet companionship remind me of the simplicity and beauty of life. They don’t ask for much, yet they give so freely, and I find peace in that exchange. It’s like a form of therapy—no words are needed, just the bond that exists between us.
And finally, helping others. I never realized how much fulfillment I would get from simply being there for someone. It’s not about grand gestures or fixing things; it’s about listening, showing kindness, or offering support in whatever form that may take. When I can help someone, even in small ways, it fills me with a sense of purpose. It reminds me that connection and compassion are at the heart of everything that matters. Whether I’m lifting someone’s spirits or just offering a little guidance, it always brings me back to a place of peace. It’s as if, in helping others, I’m also helping myself.
All of these moments—makeup, animals, helping—are where I feel most myself. It’s where I find my sense of balance and calm. I don’t need anything else in those moments but to simply exist in the present, doing what brings me peace.
