Natalie Moore of Los Angeles on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Natalie Moore and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Natalie, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is a normal day like for you right now?
Every day looks a little different for me, and that’s how I like it. I do a lot of different things and am blessed with a good amount of flexibility in my schedule, so there isn’t necessarily a “normal” day for me. Some days I am super busy, and others I have a lot of downtime. I am an actor and singer who also owns an Etsy shop, works with toddlers sometimes, and just started a film festival called Little Penguin Awards. Typically, my day involves at least one, if not multiple, of these things. I have also been putting a big focus on my health and wellness this year, so I try to do things every day that are good for me, like making healthy meals, exercising, reading my bible, journaling, etc.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Natalie, and I am an actress and singer living in Los Angeles. I also own an Etsy shop called The Little Penguin Shop and just started a film festival called Little Penguin Awards. I love performing, creating, and allowing myself to be creative and artistic. I play the lead role of Hannah in the upcoming psychological thriller feature film ‘Hidden Lives.’ I am very excited about this film, as it is a project close to my heart, and it is my first time playing a lead role in a feature. I also got the chance to perform an original song called ‘Tokyo’ in the film.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who were you before the world told you who you had to be?
As a kid, I was always very silly and goofy. I liked to make people laugh with silly faces, funny voices, or corny jokes. Some people loved this side of me, and others found it weird or annoying. I still have that side of me, but I’ll usually only let it show completely at the right time, place, and with the right people.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
This is a deep question. Well, suffering taught me who is really there for me in the tough times. Anyone can be there for you during successful times, but the hard times reveal who the real ones are. It also taught me to appreciate the good times. I will always be grateful for all the help God has given me during my hard times

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
Peace, music, helping others

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: Are you tap dancing to work? Have you been that level of excited at any point in your career? If so, please tell us about those days.
During times when I’m actively acting in a project, I most definitely tap dance to set every day. There is nothing more exciting to me than getting to go to set and do what I love. When we filmed ‘Hidden Lives,’ we shot for 10 days – all day Monday through Friday for 2 weeks. It was like heaven to me. I was so sleep deprived, but I didn’t even care because I was having the time of my life.
