Hi Izzy, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
Honestly, being around good friends is the best way for me to live in the moment. I’ve been having a revelation recently about how addictive social media is (specifically tiktok) and it’s tough because I can’t completely abandon it since it’s so integral to being a musician. So I’m really trying to spend as much time with friends as I can!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Izzy Eyre! I’m a musician from Orange County (been in LA for a few years now). I feel like a huge part of my brand is that I write and produce all of my music 100%! I grew up song writing and playing guitar, and have been producing in Logic for the last couple of years, really being able to grow as a producer and artist overall. Because I have full creative control over my sound, I tend to genre bend a bit! Sometimes I lean more in a grungy pop vibe, sometimes it’s more EDM, but always with catchy melodies and upbeat production!
Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. What was your earliest memory of feeling powerful?
I think growing up with such a strong, self sufficient mom made me feel powerful because she taught me to never wait for other people to do the things you want to do.
What did suffering teach you that success never could?
That going outside your comfort zone is they key to confidence.
Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. What’s a belief or project you’re committed to, no matter how long it takes?
I think honestly, my journey as an artist. I’ve evolved so much as a musician, making songs and sounds I never thought I would, so I feel very all in. I will always make music, its the never ending project.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I try to live my life to the fullest. I think if this were the case, I’m honestly not sure there is anything I would change about my life! I feel very lucky to have build my dream life. (perhaps I would rack up an insane amount of debt from traveling though lol)
