Today we’d like to introduce you to Swapna Pinnamaneni.

Swapna, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I am a software manager turned Entrepreneur.

Born and brought up in India, moved to Los Angeles with my husband and three-year-old daughter in 2000. Started my career as a software professional, once my son started with his kindergarten.

Having practiced Indian Classical Dance ‘Bharata Natyam’ in my growing up years, the dance form has an immense influence on my personality.

Was intrigued by Gemological Institute of America and started learning gemology since 2011, while working in software.

In 2014, started creating my fine jewelry pieces, keeping my daughter in mind.

On my 40th birthday, I’ve decided to follow my heart. I quit my day job as a software manager and created more fine jewelry pieces, so expanding.

Honesty and Ethics are my strength. Every gemstone I use is ethically sourced. The high-quality gemstones with master craftsmanship and the best pricing has drawn a lot of attention and brought me many clients from all over the world.

Most importantly, I don’t own a brick and mortar store. DreamChoice Jewellery business model is based on private presentations and niche e-commerce.

While fine jewelry designing and creating is my Passion, helping provide Education and Mentoring to many of the indigenous kids is my Life’s Purpose.

Kids are Gems. Mentoring is like bringing the best sparkle out of them with the right faceting.

I am working with ‘Infinite Family’ as a video mentor to the kids in South Africa. More in store, and ready to come into action, soon with mentoring. 🙂

To be able to use my jewelry creations help many of the kids is my Dream.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Oh, definitely not a smooth road and I’ve been prepared for this.

As we know, if something spectacular has to be created, some road blocks are inevitable 🙂

Coming from a software world, where agility, logic and swiftness are the essential qualities, merging into creating fine jewelry pieces where thoughtfulness, emotions, expressions are the key characteristics, it was a roller coaster ride. Well, it’s still is 🙂

I followed my heart, so I enjoy what I do, in spite of many hurdles that I face on a daily basis.

While executing the projects and bringing my dreams and imaginations into reality, I’ve learnt a lot about life itself.

I always tell myself, “Be patient, there’s a lot of blessings coming your way.”

Letting the Universe in me to naturally evolve.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Nothing could have been done differently, since I’ve accepted the Universe and let it evolve naturally.

We often want it so badly that we ruin it before it begins. Over-thinking, fantasizing, imagining, expecting, worrying and doubting.

I tried to stay away from expectations. Just followed my heart and the flow.

Today, I am ready with my collection items to be exhibited at the International Jewellery Show in London from September 3rd to 5th.

I am grateful to the Universe for bringing me to where I am. I am a big Dreamer and am confident that my Dreams will come true.

At the end of the day, how many smiles I’ve created is all that matters.
