Meet Polina Galkina

Today we’d like to introduce you to Polina Galkina.

Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I always loved photography, and people often said I have an eye for it. Eventually this hobby evolved in something more. I learned a lot about social media as I was writing a capstone for my communication major. I wanted to put my knowledge to the test. The whole blogging concept was new to me, and it happened very suddenly. Naturally, I chose Instagram as my playground. As I was exploring how to grow a page on Instagram – my brand was born. Hi, I’m Polina @rocknroamgirl!

Please tell us about your art.
First off, I am a content creator, and I love what I do! My passion for developing/capturing nature, travel, lifestyle imagery is equally bound with my passion for sharing it. We live in a such beautiful world with breathtaking places, amazing cultures and possibilities for dynamic experiences which has birthed in me an unquenchable urge to explore it, to see it all, experience and capture it in the way that I can share it with the people who desire to see life and experience it in all it’s richness. If my art is able to add the slightest color to that pursuit then I am gratefully fulfilled. Ultimately, I want my craft to inspire and remind people how big and beautiful our planet is.

As an artist, how do you define success and what quality or characteristic do you feel is essential to success as an artist?
I’m reminded of a saying from the book “Just Enough” that success is a moving target. It really is! It requires constant development, constant growth, the ability to remain humble, esteem others above yourself, and just laugh. As an artist it’s important that my work has significance, and the greatest way I achieve that is by having a positive impact on the people I love, my family, friends and community. If I am able to relay my values in a way that resonates with others with gratitude, joy and sincerity, then I feel accomplished – I feel successful. successful. One thing I have learned: reaching for success is an everlasting endeavor, however it’s measure is not in its attainment but in its pursuit.
