Meet Luca Fiorini of Piovra Group in West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Luca Fiorini.

Luca, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was born and raised in Milano, Italy, where I attained a degree in Economics & Management from Bocconi University. After moving to Los Angeles and earning a Marketing degree from UCLA, I decided to start my first company. It was a short-term rental agency focused on luxury properties in the Greater Los Angeles Area. This led me to see all of the potential other venues in the city offered. With my experience in venue management, sales and operations, event production, high-end catering, and business development, I created my newest business, PIOVRA GROUP. Our priority at Piovra is to represent the most unique venues in the city and deliver to our client’s perfectly executed events.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
One of my biggest challenges was leaving my family back home to come build a business in the U.S. But once I began building a life for myself here and my short-term rental agency began doing well, I knew I had made the right choice. Starting any kind of business comes with its ups and downs, it’s just a matter of reminding myself that I get back whatever I put out there. It really works. That’s why I strive to treat my team and my peers with the utmost respect. I truly believe people are the greatest asset for any company.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Piovra Group – what should we know?
I founded Piovra Group with one objective in mind. Make it easy for event clients to find the right venue and for venues to find the right client. Think about it as a matchmaker for event spaces.

We are proud to have built a diversified portfolio of venues that can cater to any client’s need. So, if you are looking for a space for an upcoming event, you can rest assured we will be able to help you book the right venue for you.

In addition to that, we have an incredible event production division including some of the best planners, designers and event vendors in the industry that allows us to assist each client on any additional event production need.

I’d definitely like to thank my family for all of their support and for all the FaceTime calls we have because they really keep my spirit up and motivated. It’s also important for me to be surrounded by great friends who understand how much work I put into this business and who want to see me succeed.
