Today we’d like to introduce you to Nea Simone.

So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I founded BESPOKE Media Marketing as a Minority & Woman-Owned integrated Media Marketing agency comprised of creative, smart, and results driven multi-generational and cultural professionals to create customized PR & marketing campaigns, and productions for a range of entertainment, the blockchain, cryptocurrency and consumer brands projects. We are unique in that our staff of millennials, Gen X & Yers, provides a holistic view of society, cultures, and motivators.

As our name indicates, we develop a BESPOKE (custom), comprehensive and inclusive approach to each project. We specialize in creating innovative Marketing Strategies, that combine PR, Digital, Social and Event Activation’s for multi-cultural and multi-generational audiences nationwide. We deliver curated interactive media through our network of trendsetters, early adopters, advocates, activists and influencers who change or impact purchasing and viewing behaviors.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Yes and no. It has been an interesting road, full of twists and turns. Marketing for film requires massive creativity and understanding not only of the filmmaker’s message and intent; but also identifying its audience beyond the mainstream. For consumer brands, and tech we have to focus on the end user and keep the messaging consistent with brand identity.

Our firm specializes in engaging the multicultural and multigenerational audience which until recent years has been overlooked. Still today as a market they are an afterthought.

Our challenge is to keep the demographic front and center and ensure each campaign is appropriate in its outreach while fittings the style and tone of the project and/or brand.

While juggling projects we are also juggling growth which can sometimes feel like the biggest challenge. When you have a small company it is important that each new employee is the right fit and brings skills and a positive attitude that reinforces the team.

We pride ourselves on our diverse portfolio of independent film and television projects in various genres, as well as consumer brands and tech projects. We believe that building strong client relationships are incredibly important and we work closely with our clients to engender complete trust.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have taken the time to write a “full” business plan first and let it be my roadmap, instead, I wrote my vision and followed it with a business plan. Both are necessary but in the right order.
