Meet MoneySign Hines of ASR

Today we’d like to introduce you to MoneySign Hines.

MoneySign, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
The journey of life brought me to where I am today. Numerous trials and tribulations with no outlet to express myself led me to fall in love with music. Being born with cerebral palsy change my life. I often felt nobody understood me and music allows others the opportunity to take a walk and my mental space. Music is a sense of freedom for me and brings me peace of mind. How did I get here today? I never quit I never gave up on myself and I turned my pain into purpose. My mindset has completely changed from when I wrote my first rhyme at the age of 12. At the age of 27, I want to redefine the definition of a disability and continue to be an inspiration to the world.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The greatest challenge I faced this far is finding myself in my music. Creating a distinctive and instantaneous sound/style you recognize as soon as you hear my voice. Along the road, I struggled with other opinions. I used to let people’s opinions control my narrative and influence my creative process. Once I broke free from this train of thought, I was able to capitalize on my sound and create music that makes me happy and the listener can enjoy.
