Meet Giselle and Melanie Garavito of Right Design in Glendale

Today we’d like to introduce you to Giselle and Melanie Garavito.

Giselle & Melanie, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Two sisters, trying to pursuit our passion for art and makeup. We were introduce to the Face Painting world by a close friend and after that we decided to give it a shot. We started painting for close friends, until little by little we started getting our own customers for birthday parties… a couple years after we decided we needed to take it to the next level.

Changing the image of our company, new colors, getting in social media, taking more workshops to improve our techniques and eventually getting more customers not only for birthday parties but grand openings, schools and also networking with other artists.

Right Design is a Face Painting business that’s been established for 6 years, and we love what we do. It’s who we are. As a sister and sister team working side by side, we aspire for the smiles and joy that we leave on adults and kids.

Our goal is to create face painting that is visually stunning. Colorful that it stands out and dazzles. Creativeness that glows. We paint and have a commitment to only the best quality and services for our clients.

It’s been such an experience, as any business it has its ups and downs, but everything only help us to get better, improve in the service we offer, and of course keep learning from every experience.

We both love what we do, and we push each other to keep moving forward. We design our own logo, style, promotions, everything! Working as a team is the most important part of it, and it’s something that we believe has helped us to be where we are today!

Believing in ourselves and in our passion makes us where we are today.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As any other business it has its ups and downs. We have struggle mainly with exposure our business, ourselves. For people to know our name and our work. To give a great service, but finding new techniques and trying new things have been very helpful. For us two being artists, moms, wives and daughters also gets overwhelming at times, but you just need good organizing skills and you are set.

Managing the time to be all those at once it’s hard but not impossible.

Please tell us about Right Design.
We offer Face Painting, Professional Make Up, Balloon Twisting, Glitter Tattoos, Airbrush Tattoos and Flash Tattoos.

We mainly specialize in creating looks with Face Painting and also infusing a little of beauty make up.

We are very proud of how well structured the company is, a clear focus on growing. A good presentation and professionalism. Giving the client a personalized and unique experience on their service and make it an unforgettable event for their guests.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
Good question but we probably wouldn’t do anything differently. With the experiences we have had both good and bad we can adapt to a fresh start.
