Meet Caitlyn Chase of Caviar and Cashmere in Beverly Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Caitlyn Chase.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Caitlyn. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I am a writer, blogger, and designer. After a year of traveling the world for the best of the best in luxury finds to feature on my blog, Caviar & Cashmere, I was inspired to design my own brand. Following the success of the blog, I designed a home and fashion accessory line with the same name in 2011.

Today, the Caviar & Cashmere brand and blog are synonymous with luxury. I am currently growing Caviar & Cashmere into a full-scale accessory line, which is now sold in over 75 stores, spas, and hotels around the world. In Summer 2016, I launched my first fine jewelry collection. In addition to designing, I am still committed to keeping my readers abreast of the latest in worldwide luxury lifestyle on the blog.

I have been called a luxury lifestyle expert, representing other brands as a Brand Ambassador. Some companies I have had the pleasure to work with and represent include Olay, Diageo, Fairmont Hotels, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Virgin Limited Edition Hotels, GlamSquad, and Joe Fresh.

My work has been recognized and featured in publications such as The Huffington Post, Glamour, Blackbook, Vogue, Focus, and Angeleno, among others.

Two of my most recent accomplishments were being named one of the “top 10 fashion bloggers in Los Angeles” by Locale Magazine, and “one to watch in 2017” by Los Angeles Confidential Magazine.

Has it been a smooth road?
No success comes without it’s challenges, perseverance and hard work. While growing my blog and brand, Caviar & Cashmere, I was pouring all of my personal savings and any revenue I made back into the company. During this time, I had to find other sources of income to stay afloat, which is not the glamorous side of entrepreneurship. I was not being supported by my family (which I am now very thankful of because it shaped my work ethic from a very young age.)

I was fortunate enough to find other luxury brands who needed my assistance in helping grow their own companies, and turned that into a consulting business. My consulting career allowed me to support myself while I pursued my dream of making Caviar & Cashmere a household name.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Caviar & Cashmere – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am currently growing the Caviar & Cashmere brand into a full-scale accessory line. I launched the brand with 100% cashmere fashion and home accessories (scarves, throws, travel sets, and robes) which I designed myself, and manufactured in India.

In Summer 2016, I launched a seven piece fine jewelry collection in partnership with the e-commerce website Iconery. This was my first foray into jewelry design, which I am very passionate about.

I plan to keep ideating and growing the Caviar & Cashmere brand, launching new products every year. I would love to design products with accessible price points, and hopefully be able to give everyone a piece of luxury.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Los Angeles is a magical place. I grew up by the beach in Malibu and now live in the center of the city in Beverly Hills. I fall in love with something new every day, whether it is a secret hiking trail I discover, a new art exhibit, or a pop-up boutique featuring local designers, there is always something new to do and/or see.

I think Los Angeles is so special because there is something for everyone. You can drive an hour to the beach, or two hours to the snow. If you are a bohemian, you can live on the westside or eastside and live that lifestyle. If you love urban living, you can settle in Beverly Hills or West Hollywood and be in such close proximity to some of the country’s best food and nightlife.

I would never speak an ill world to a city that has given me so many opportunities. I love LA!
