Inspiring Conversations with Xavier Young of RTP Group Management And Promotions

Today we’d like to introduce you to Xavier Young.

Hi Xavier, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Well, my journey started in 03 when I came to LA from the Bay Area as an artist on an internship to learn the industry. I was blessed to be in a good situation and introduced to some really key people who have helped me develop along the way. I’ve worked with so many artists as well as entertainers in the TV field. I started working in the nightlife realm around 2013 and things just started to click. From them, I started the RTP Group (Run The Play) which focused on major events and talent management.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all the road has been bumpy definitely but what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. I’ve had a few hurdles to clear and definitely took my share of losses. It comes with the game and builds character. This is LA so you have to deal with the politics as well as the people you chose to deal with. Not everyone is around for the long haul, people are opportunists and will try to get in only when it benefits them.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about RTP Group Management And Promotions?
My name is Xavier but I go by “X”  aka Mr. Run The Play and I’m the CEO of RTP Group Management And Promotions, Creator Of FAME Live, and Mainline Distribution partner and A&R. Im pretty much known for throwing red carpet events, artist management I represent TreCinco and Mike GDNss, and brand building. What sets us aside from everyone else is the quality in which we do things as well as our work ethic as a whole. Brand wise I’m proud of the team i’ve put together, we all work together extremely well and get the job done every time. As a brand, we offer the best in music, to production, marketing, nightlife, and lifestyle we accommodate in all these departments.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Some of my favorite reads are Think and Grow Rich, 48 Laws of Power, The 50th Law , The Art and Science of Respect, The Secret, Master Of The Game, Art of War, and all the Donald Goines books for the most part. I also like the Joe Budden podcast also Million Dollars Worth of Game with Gillie and Wallo. I listen to Andrew Tate as well dude has his ways, but he’s not a stupid individual whatsoever.
