Story & Lesson Highlights with Jamaal Lewis of Calabasas

We recently had the chance to connect with Jamaal Lewis and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamaal , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ince breaker: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
Definitely walking a divine path with God leading the way

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Meet Jamaal Lewis – Model, Actor & CEO of Stay Blessed Clothing

My name is Jamaal Lewis—I’m a model, actor, and the CEO of Stay Blessed Clothing, a brand built on faith, resilience, and purpose. My journey in the entertainment and fashion industries has been anything but ordinary. What started as a passion for self-expression through style and storytelling has evolved into a mission to inspire others to embrace who they are, keep pushing forward, and always stay blessed—no matter the challenges life throws their way.

At Stay Blessed Clothing, we’re more than just fashion—we’re a movement. Each piece is designed to motivate, uplift, and remind people of the power of positivity, faith, and inner strength. Whether I’m on set, on stage, or behind the scenes building the brand, my goal is always the same: to lead with authenticity, elevate others, and leave a lasting impact.

Right now, I’m working on expanding the Stay Blessed line, building new creative partnerships, and using my platform to support mental health awareness and community empowerment. There’s so much more ahead—and I’m just getting started.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
I was definitely the get sheep so I was left out and not picked a lot growing up. I didn’t believe that I fit in anywhere and was constantly looking for my purpose

When did you stop hiding your pain and start using it as power?
About eighth grade was the first time that I stepped outside my shell.Took everything that was harming me in the past and used it as my superpower

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? Is the public version of you the real you?
Definitely i’m a very transparent person and I feel that my story and the things that I’ve been through growing up help and inspire people to become the best version of themselves possible

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
That I loved God outloud. Regardless of how high I go in my career I will always give glory to God because I know that that’s where all my blessings come from
