Good morning DJ , we’re so happy to have you here with us and we’d love to explore your story and how you think about life and legacy and so much more. So let’s start with a question we often ask: What are you being called to do now, that you may have been afraid of before?
Man. This is such a complex question but yet simple, my answer can be just the same. But what I am compelled to say in this very moment has been my greatest challenge these past 5 years. And that is learning to live in my full potential, so I can reach that feeling I feel deep inside my chest. Letting that fear go and stop being humble for everybody else’s comfort.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?

DJ Harmonyy, also known as The Love DJ (with two Y’s), is a California-based female DJ known for creating high-energy, emotionally driven music experiences. Refusing to fit into a single category and staying out a box, she performs across festivals, club events, and live performances while also producing original music with a signature sound and style.

With performances in over 15 cities across the United States., DJ Harmonyy has built a respected brand rooted in connection, intention, and consistency. Her story reflects grit, resilience, and a commitment to leading with love, bringing energy to every room and creating experiences that leave a lasting impact.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
God and the Universe. The world has been teaching me who I am. Thru every high & low, thru every good & bad, I’ve been given the proper grace and knowledge to become who I am today, to be able to walk by faith and not by sight everyday. Its truly a blessing and everyday I do my best to express my gratitude.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Mmmm… I wouldn’t say I ever completely thought about giving up. But, 2025, definitely made me question my love for DJ’ing. There came a time where I asked myself is this all worth it? After a time of reflection, my love for DJ’ing just grew stronger! It’s all apart of the game and I am completely excited for what is ahead. I rather keep the love close. And like Nipsey said, It’s a marathon.

So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Every version of me you see is real. The version of me you receive is based on the energy you provide. I’m good everywhere, I receive and give love in every environment. From the corporate crowd, to the OG’s at the cookout, to the college house party, to the hood with the YN’s, I’m good everywhere being me. You will only live the life meant for you when you live by your truths.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you laid down your name, role, and possessions—what would remain?
What would remain is the one person that gained all of those possessions, that built that name, and played their role. Me. My brand is based on who I am not what I pertain.
