We recently had the chance to connect with COLOR LOVE and have shared our conversation below.
COLOR, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
My wonderful, inspiring friends from all over the world.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a live performer, producer and DJ – I live between LA and Ibiza and I travel the world playing music.
Dj-ing has been my full time profession for over 10 years and I am grateful that I realized long ago that I can make a living from what I am most passionate about.
During Covid I created my unique live performance using drum machines, looping live vocals, synths and more and I now am booked to perform all original music at festivals and clubs around the world.
I am finally launching my own record label on September 26 where I will be releasing more of my own productions. The label is called LOVE.CLUB.
Great, so let’s dive into your journey a bit more. Who taught you the most about work?
My mentors who have been in the industry longer than me, they are really helpful with advice and feedback.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
When I moved to San Diego in 2012 the music scene there was not amazing, so I started teaching a lot of yoga as I had just done a yoga teacher training in Bali. I then realized that this was not what I wanted to do full time so that is when I went to Music Production and Sound Sesign school at Point Blank LA. Once I took that course I became addicted to making music and have been producing non stop ever since.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What would your closest friends say really matters to you?
I am sitting next to a close friend and she says “the music has to be good, the second you hear a sound you don’t like you leave the room. Also authenticity in people.”
