Rising Stars: Meet Tiffany Nicole Brevard

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Nicole Brevard.

Hi Tiffany, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in Pasadena, CA by my amazing and wonderful mother. She put me through private school, music lessons, and theatre classes by herself, and I got here today because of her. She recognized a gift in me and encouraged me to always dream.

I am an actress, professional vocalist, singer/songwriter, and harpist with a mission to be a light in the entertainment industry. Many of the songs I write are social justice (homelessness, sex trafficking, animal rescue, etc.) driven or have a positive or meaningful message that people can be encouraged by and relate to.

It is my dream to use my gifts and passion to make a difference in people’s lives and give back to my mom through my success.

Education: I started as a music business major at Anderson University, then transferred to BIOLA University to study broadcast journalism, and ended my studies at USC (University of Southern California) where I earned a Master’s in Communication Management.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I grew up with a single mom my entire life, and consider myself very privileged to have gone to private school and participated in extracurricular activities like music lessons, horseback riding, and theatre camps. However, life always throws curveballs. There were times we almost became homeless and didn’t know where our next meal would come from, but through my mom’s sacrifice and our strength together, we overcame a lot.

Through the hard times, I learned to have perseverance and tenacity. If you have a dream, the type of dream that you feel in the pit of your stomach… you can never lose that dream or give up.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Tiffany enjoys working in the entertainment industry on film projects, commercials, session singing at top recording studios for composers and film scores, and theater productions. Some of the latest projects include singing for the LA Film Composers Showcase with professional vocal group “Tonality,” being featured as Pam Bryant in Winning Time, booking the role of Cleopatra in a Stanley Steemer commercial, recording sample vocals for Mike Green’s Realitone at United Recording, and more. She is grateful for all opportunities and never stops training to ensure continued success and professionalism for future work.

I think what sets me apart is my motivation for doing what I do. I want to make a difference in the world, to be a light to others, being truly authentic and unique with the gifts God gave me. i get so much joy bringing other people joy through my music or hearing others stories that I meet on set, allowing people to be seen and heard.

Music is honestly my first love, and I consider my genre to be contemporary pop with a cinematic feel.

My dream roles would be to use both acting and music in any Disney film, maybe live-action Princess and the Frog?, TV series like Glee, movies like The Greatest Showman, etc… I always want to remain grateful for opportunities.

Risk taking is a topic that people have widely differing views on – we’d love to hear your thoughts.
Honestly, I think the entertainment industry is all about taking risks. I used to be really shy and afraid to step on people’s toes, but the squeaky wheel gets the oil, and I live by the philosophy of “ask for forgiveness later…” What is the worse someone could say, “NO?” I try to remind myself not to be afraid to let people know what I want and can do, and believe there is a way to practice humility while also opening up doors to opportunities. Many of the jobs I’ve booked have been simply from asking or talking to people about what I do. One job leads to the next job, leads to the next.
