Today we’d like to introduce you to Savina And Serena Perey
Hi Savina and Serena, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
Savina and Serena Perey, identical twins of mixed Filipino-Caucasian heritage, were born in the Philippines and now live in Los Angeles. Their journey into the world of modeling began at just three years old when they started modeling for their mother’s clothing line. This early exposure sparked a deep love for fashion and the arts. After five years of persistent persuasion, they convinced their mother to sign them with an agent and manager, leading to opportunities with major brands like Nike, Universal Studios, Target, Walmart, NFL and working with Dhar Mann Studios.
Raised with a strong work ethic, the twins learned the importance of hard work, dedication, and giving their best in everything they do. In addition to acting, they have a passion for dance and regularly attend hip-hop classes at Playground LA.
In December 2023, Savina and Serena reached a new milestone in their careers by landing their first lead roles in a dark thriller feature film. Their performances and work ethic received high praise, and the movie is set to be released later this year.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It is not always easy but since we love what we do, it is all worth it. A lot of times we have to apply and go for the same roles but that is okay, it has always been a healthy competition and we are always happy to support and cheer for each other.
We would say auditioning is not easy since there are lot more of “no” answers than “yes”. They said it takes an actor to audition 64 times to book a role and while we are lucky to get roles before even reaching that number, it is definitely humbling and it keeps us grounded.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
We are models and actresses who love dancing. We are proud of all the work that we have done, overcoming all the challenges that we faced and the mutual respect and support that we have for each other.
We share the unique bond of being twins and our love for each other will always overcome anything. For us, it does not matter who gets a booking or becomes successful, the other person’s success is a win for both.
Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
We think there will more online creators and shows as opposed to tv series and movies. AI will be a challenge at first but we think unions and artists groups will look out and protect talents from abuse and misuse of AI and it will be used more to make the film industry better but not replace talents.
