Rising Stars: Meet Raven Vermeil

Today we’d like to introduce you to Raven Vermeil.

Hi Raven, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
The journey to becoming the Founder and Interior Designer of Décor Beverly Hills has been both challenging and empowering as a female entrepreneur. I am no stranger to hardships; my father passed away when I was a child, and I was primarily raised by my mother and loving grandmother (Nana Karla). I grew up living between Chandler and Scottsdale, Arizona, and always watched the women in my family make it happen, and by “it” I mean thrive by any means necessary.

I discovered my love for interior design soon after graduating high school, working part-time for a commercial-based design company specializing in furniture consulting and custom artwork ideation, and I studied interior design thereafter. I started my voyage as a small business owner at the age of 21 years old in which I founded my first interior service company in 2013.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am the founder of Décor Beverly Hills, an award-winning, female-owned and operated interior design business specializing in interior decorating and luxury furniture consulting. Décor Beverly Hills designs residential and commercial spaces across the Los Angeles area and beyond with a focus on educating clients on their preferred interior design style(s). Some interior style types include transitional, urban industrial, contemporary, and more. During my decade-long career, I have furnished and assisted in design services for several restaurants, nightclubs, boutique hotels, and luxury homes.

Décor Beverly Hills also provides photo realistic renderings, which are realistic digital images of room design concepts presented before selections are implemented within the space, making the interior process a truly innovative luxury experience. Potential clients enjoy our complimentary 25-min mini interior consultations via zoom to answer their pressing questions and to go over the services provided by Décor Beverly Hills.

Also, I am excited to announce an additional feature of the company: the launch of NEW online courses, Décor By You! The Décor By You course guide teaches home decorating from start to finish directly from Beverly Hills interior professionals as an alternative to those who are not ready to hire on an interior professional.

How do you think about happiness?
Besides indulging in interior design inspo photos on Pinterest, I find the utmost happiness in chasing my wildest dreams and uplifting women and young girls to do the same. My passion for uplifting others to thrive is the biggest contributing factor as to why I went full force to start the Women’s Business Network with the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce. The WBN is a referral-focused committee dedicated to the mission to create opportunities for growth in strategic business marketing, networking relationships, and social impact.

WBN was established in January 2022 and is the newest Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce committee, where I currently serve as Chair. I believe the saying, “if you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life.” I am a living and breathing example of finding success within your true passions.
