Rising Stars: Meet Oscar Ganem

Today we’d like to introduce you to Oscar Ganem.

Hi Oscar, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I was in Mexico City when I landed a leading role in the feature film “Un Sentimiento Honesto en el Calabozo del Olvido”, where I had Hugo Stiglitz (Quentin Tarantino paid a tribute to him by naming a character “Hugo Stiglitz” in “Inglorious Basterds”) along with five Mexican Academy of Film Award Winners (Manuel Ojeda, Ofelia Medina, Blanca Guerra, Angelica Aragon, Luis Felipe Tovar) as supporting actors. We had Martin Hernandez do the Sound design for the film… (2 time Academy Award Nominee for “Birdman” and “The Revenant”)

Soon after, I landed the leading role in the feature film “ANIELA” and both of these films opened up the doors for me in Hollywood.

I have now starred in music videos for Grammy Award-nominated artists such as “Glass Animals: Black Mambo” and “Ashe: omw”.

I star in the series “Murdered by Morning” season 2 as Dodge City Kansas police officer Christopher “Chris” Tahah, who was sentenced to life in prison for murder in real life.
The series is available on “Apple Tv” and “Peacock Tv”.

I have signed with “APA” (Agency for the Performing Arts), which is one of the most important talent agencies, representing actors such as Pamela Anderson, Mel Gibson and Gary Oldman.

My next project will be the film by director Leonardo Arturo titled “Once Upon a Star” in which I will star as the lead character who is an A-list actor. In the film, we will see what it’s like dealing with that type of success in his career as an actor and his personal life such as his relationship with his girlfriend, who will be played by Mexican actress Polett Ramirez. This is my biggest film yet and I will begin shooting in August 2023 in Los Angeles, CA.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
I’m actually very excited about “Once Upon a Star” which is my next film that I’ll be shooting in August because I will get to show what some of the struggles in the film industry can be, especially as an actor.

Life is like a dream, sometimes you can’t control what happens but if you try really hard you can.

This film (Once Upon a Star) means a lot to me because I’ll be playing the role of who I want to become in real life, a very successful actor and even though we will see him at a moment when he’s down in his life, I’ll make sure to show there is always hope.

The goal is not to live forever but to create something that does.
