Today we’d like to introduce you to Nika Chill.
Hi Nika , thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
started with nothing but passion and curiosity for dance. From a young age, I was always the one performing — in school, in college, anywhere I could. I began teaching when I was just 15 years old. Most of my students were older women, and through them, I learned so much — about life, femininity, power, and healing.
Now it’s been over 10 years of teaching dance, and my work has evolved into more than just movement. I create safe, empowering spaces for women to express themselves, feel free, reconnect with their bodies, and build confidence through dance. I believe the body speaks, heals, and transforms — and I love being the person who guides women through that journey.
The war in Ukraine had a huge impact on my life. It forced me to leave my home country, and I spent time traveling and teaching around the world. Eventually, I moved to the U.S., where I had to rebuild my name and brand from scratch — and I did. Very quickly, I found my second home here. The community embraced me, and now I get to witness and support the transformation of so many powerful women.
This work is deeply personal to me, and I’m grateful every day to do what I love and watch it change lives.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road.
I started teaching twerk when I was just 15, and from the very beginning, I faced bullying and judgment. People often reduced the dance style to something shallow or hypersexual — saying it was only for “easy” women or meant only to attract men. I was constantly met with disrespect, especially from men who viewed what I did through a very objectifying lens.
As I got older and more confident in my self-expression, the criticism only grew — especially online. I was called “too much,” “too sexual,” “too exposed.” But I’ve come to understand that I trigger people. My biggest trigger for others is sexuality. I allow myself to be free, expressive, and embodied — and that challenges a lot of people’s inner limitations.
One of the hardest things has been learning not to defend myself — not to fall into the trap of proving my worth or explaining my art to people who don’t want to understand. I’ve had to develop the strength to keep going, to stay true to myself, and to trust that my work speaks louder than any judgment.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a dancer, a choreographer, and a creator of dance experiences. I specialize in feminine movement — styles like twerk, sensual dance, and freestyle — but more than that, I create transformational spaces through movement.
What I’m most proud of is the kind of safe and empowering space I’ve learned to create. It doesn’t matter if someone is a complete beginner or a dancer with 5–10 years of experience — I know how to meet them where they are. I make people feel seen, supported, and inspired to express themselves fully. And I always have something to offer — whether it’s technique, emotion, or depth.
What sets me apart is how deeply I feel people. It’s like I can hear what someone needs without them saying a word. Sometimes, it feels like something greater speaks through me — through my voice, through my body — and delivers the exact message a person needs to hear in that moment. There’s a spiritual, almost magical connection I experience in my work, and others often feel it too.
After my classes or events, people often tell me they feel more alive, more confident, and more in love with themselves. That’s the greatest reward I could ask for.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
Right now, in this world, what makes me happy is silence.
In silence, I can hear myself — I understand what I truly want. And when I start moving toward that, when I follow what’s real for me, that’s when I feel truly happy. When I’m connected to my purpose, my path, and who I am — and when those inner visions become reality — I feel like the happiest person on Earth.
These days, I’m doing a lot of dance projects, and I love it — but I can also feel that this chapter is coming to an end. I know that for me to feel happy soon, I’ll need to just live — rest, breathe, exist.
To lay down and sip coconut water by the ocean.
To read a book while watching the sunset.
To hug someone I love.
To listen to the wind.
Simple things. The things we often forget in the chaos of striving and achieving.
There was a time when success and accomplishments were what made me happy — but now, happiness is being slowly replaced by the most simple, gentle moments. And I’m learning to treasure them more than anything.
