Rising Stars: Meet Majd Khader

Today we’d like to introduce you to Majd Khader.

Hi Majd, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I’m Majd or better known as “Mxjd” on the internet where I conduct all my work. It all started in 2009 in my basement back home in Dearborn Heights, Michigan a young kid just watching YouTube videos and playing video games all day everyday after school. Content Creation and Streaming was a big part of who I wanted to become as I got older and more invested in the space. I was heavily influenced by the content I was watching such as OpTic Gaming and FaZe Clan every time I watched one of their new videos I would tell myself that I wanted to do exactly what they were doing, gaming and documenting their lives. Fast forward to 2017, I started streaming as a hobby and making YouTube videos although I wasn’t the most consistent at doing what I loved I was always passionate and driven by what I knew I could accomplish. In 2018 I went to my first gaming event TwitchCon San Jose to meet all of my favorite creators and like-minded individuals that had similar interests in the gaming and content creation space to learn and see what all of this was about physically rather than behind the screen.

At that point, I knew that this was what I wanted to do for a very long part of my life. The experience was everything I imagined and made me want more so I started to travel to more of these gaming events throughout the years. Through me traveling and going to these events to meet everyone I met online it was so surreal people I looked up to have now become my close friends. People I used to watch everyday became my really good friends they saw something in me and told me that I had everything I needed to be in the same position they were in. In 2021 I got an opportunity that I wouldn’t take for granted and that was to move out to Los Angels, California to pursue content creation and streaming FULL TIME I gave myself a three month trial period to see if it would actually work and was blessed and grateful enough to receive another opportunity with my roommates to participate in a Mr.Beast Challenge “Last To Leave Circle Wins $500,000”. This was one that neither one of us could pass by and it was life-changing money. Unfortunately, we didn’t win but got the opportunity of a lifetime after shooting the video and that was to move down to North Carolina and make more videos with Mr.Beast.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road there was a lot of sacrifice that went through the whole time I was “grinding” and working towards my goals. Did I ever think it would end up like this? No. I worked 12-16 hour shifts full-time doing homecare and transpiration for clients that had TBI (Traumatic Brain Injuries). It was definitely hard to balance work and passion and to even create content or stream. I had to focus on myself and give up time with friends and hanging out with family to do what I truly loved. Birthdays and Holiday parties and all that was part of sacrifice and if the people around me didn’t respect my decision then they didn’t want to see the dreams I was chasing turn to a reality they thought it was “crazy’ or a “reach” but in the end, it worked out all thanks to God.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an online personality! I create videos I cameo in videos and livestream to an audience. Whether it’s me being in front of the camera or behind the camera taking photos or creating pieces of content for content creators. I also edit videos and take photos which were all self-taught. I am known for my personality. I know that may sound a little broad but that’s what separates me from the rest. I’ve been told that any room I step in, I am the light and people are aware of that they can feel the energy that resonates from me. The thing I am most proud of is that I stayed true to myself and my beliefs all thanks to my mother and sister they kept me grounded and taught me all the principles of life that’s why I am in the position I am in today thankfully!

We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success is what you make it. You can have no job and still be successful in your own way. As long as you’re passionate and believe in what you’re doing, you’ll always be successful don’t let the outside noise affect what you believe in.
