Hi Katarina, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’m from Serbia, and at 21, I moved to Chicago, where I met my future husband. A few months later, we moved to LA in search of sunshine, and I was quickly won over by its glamour. Fashion had always been a passion of mine—something I admired but never considered as a career. But LA changed everything. The city’s energy and diversity inspired me to explore my creative side.
At first, I worked different jobs to get by, but I was always drawn to styling, trends, and self-expression through clothing. I started small—curating outfits for friends, attending fashion events, and immersing myself in the industry. Eventually, I took a leap of faith and launched my own venture.
I’ve always loved bold, colorful accessories, especially hats, but in today’s minimalistic fashion world, they’re hard to find. I wanted a mint hat, a pure white brim hat—something that reflected my confidence. When I couldn’t find them, I decided to create my own brand. As I sketched designs and sourced materials, I discovered I was pregnant. Balancing motherhood and a business was challenging, but I saw it as a sign to push forward.
There were struggles—navigating the industry, building a network, and proving myself in a competitive city—but my passion kept me going. Today, I’m proud of how far I’ve come. Fashion isn’t just about clothing; it’s about telling a story, expressing identity, and inspiring confidence. My goal is to bring color, individuality, and boldness back into fashion—starting with the perfect hat.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. As an immigrant, succeeding in a foreign city comes with many challenges. I had to learn better English, adapt to a new culture, and build connections—which is still difficult to this day. One of my biggest dreams has always been to open my own store, a space where I can create and sell my hats with full creative freedom.
However, since I wasn’t born here and have a short credit history, I was unable to get a bank loan to make that dream a reality. That has been one of my biggest struggles. Despite the setbacks, I haven’t given up. I’m working hard to grow my brand, and hopefully, one day, I’ll have my own store where I can bring my vision to life.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I specialize in designing and selling bold, colorful wide-brim hats online. My brand focuses on unique colors and statement pieces that are hard to find elsewhere.
What sets me apart is my passion for vibrant, eye-catching designs and my mission to bring back femininity in fashion and empower all women. As an immigrant, building my business hasn’t been easy, but I’m proud of how far I’ve come. While my ultimate dream is to open my own store, for now, I’m focused on growing my online presence and sharing my designs with those who love bold, confident fashion as much as I do.

Fashion is a powerful way to express your character and emotions through your outfits. My message to everyone is to embrace their uniqueness—don’t just follow trends, but find your own style and confidence. Don’t be afraid of judgments; true fashion is about self-expression.
