Rising Stars: Meet Jade Spotwood of Compton CA

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jade Spotwood

Hi Jade, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I started my modeling journey when I was a kid, I’ve always loved to dress up and take pictures and eventually I’ve started to take it seriously once I became a senior in high school. I slowly started to tap into my modeling by contacting different photographers and discovering my style along the way. I featured in multiple Music videos showing off my unique style and I’ve also was part of certain modeling agencies such as heaven’s angels. i’ve got where I am today by staying true to myself, and never losing confidence in what I do.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Some challenges that I’ve faced going through this journey was learning how to stay confident in what I do despite what people may think. I’ve learned to not compromise my style based off of what’s trending and stay true to myself. Another obstacle that I’ve overcame was during pregnancy. At first, I felt that since I was pregnant I couldn’t dress how I wanted to, but I overcame that and started doing more photo shoots while I was pregnant to show other women that pregnancy shouldn’t stop you from doing what you love.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
What I do and what I specialize in is creating a story and a lifestyle through pictures. I show off different scenes different occupations through the things I wear and through the background of the photos for example I would be someone who works at a tire shop and show off the feeling of working at a tire shop while still looking fabulous. Something that I most proud of is my resilience through all the ups and downs that can come with being a model/creative. What sets me apart from others is my creativity with photo shoots along with my style.

Let’s talk about our city – what do you love? What do you not love?
The best thing about our city is the diversity and the amount of creative that love the same things that I do. What I at least like about our city is definitely the traffic.
