Rising Stars: Meet Bianca Leismann

Today, we’d like to introduce you to Bianca Leismann.

Bianca Leismann

Hi Bianca, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today.
Hi! My name is Bianca Leismann; I’m a Brazilian influencer and aspiring actress who has been living in LA for almost three years now!

My journey started very early when I was five years old, and I went to watch a cousin of mine act in a play that was on tour around Brazil. That event was a mark on my life and made me realize what I wanted to do for the rest of my life: to be an actress. More than that, I specifically wanted to move to Los Angeles to pursue that dream.

After that, I spent my whole life telling friends and family that I was moving to LA to be an actress (and that I was gonna marry Zac Efron), even though I didn’t really know how I was gonna accomplish that. For many different reasons, but mostly because of my family’s financial condition.

At the time, nobody in my life had ever had a VISA or visited the US. Worse than that, after being a victim of a scam from an agency in Brazil, my family started to give up on my dream. But I didn’t.

I came up with many different plans and ways. I was willing to do anything and everything if it meant I’d make it to moving to LA and pursuing my acting career. Long story short, I got into an acting college, got a student VISA, and moved. And since that, I’ve seen many doors being opened to me.

Even before I moved, as soon as I started putting work and effort into it, praying about it, I could see God’s hand leading me through the whole process. Many people who heard the story about this crazy dream of mine, who saw my determination and faith, felt moved by it and moved in their own way to help me as they could.

My mom, distant family members, friends, people that never saw me in their life… The list goes on, and I feel so blessed and thankful for every single life that has helped me and has still been helping me!

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It’s been a very challenging journey since the very beginning of it. And not in the way you might be thinking.

Financially, it’s really hard for my family to support me all the way through. Even though I had a tuition discount, the college was very expensive and had a very limited timeline for payments. I got really close to getting my VISA terminated twice through 5 semesters of college, all because I did not have the finances necessary.

Until this very day is still hard, but recently I transferred to a cheaper college and that helped tons.

Funny enough, I feel extremely lucky in my journey, even with all the struggles that have happened throughout time. I’ve received and experienced so many opportunities that I thought would happen way later on the road. I look at my path and see God’s favor all the way through.

I appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Acting and influencing are the main things I do. I also did some modeling projects that I am very proud of. Regarding acting, I’ve done a few short films:

– Instamatch (2023), directed by Lara Bridi Costa
– I Got You, directed by Shaily Sanghvi
– 1759, directed by Julio Cesar Flores
– One Last Time (2023), directed by Emily Roberts

So maybe we end by discussing what matters most to you and why.
My family and friends. I’m a social butterfly who loves good quality time, and there’s nothing better than being around the people I love. I miss my family the most while pursuing my dream, and I can’t wait to visit them as soon as I can!
