Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Camacho
Hi Angela, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My journey began in the fast-paced world of finance, where I owned a thriving mortgage company. On paper, I was successful, but deep down, I felt unfulfilled. I was constantly overworked, and the precious moments with my four children were slipping away. When the market collapsed, I found myself at a crossroads—facing uncertainty yet feeling an undeniable spark of possibility. It was time to reinvent myself.
Then came a fateful introduction. My neighbor, the Publisher of Momfluential, invited me into the dynamic world of content creation in 2007. It was an entirely new realm—one filled with endless creative opportunities, and I was instantly hooked. We began collaborating, and soon, we realized something was missing. There was a gap in the market for authentic Latina voices, and I knew I had to fill it. That’s when Latinafluential was born—a bold, fresh platform that gave voice to Latina culture in a space where it was desperately needed.
With the unwavering support of my friend and mentor, Ciaran, I took a leap of faith and launched my very own publication, Queen Bee Latina, in 2014. This platform became a reflection of my passions and purpose. Through it, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my family’s adventures, celebrating my culture, traveling to incredible places, and interviewing inspiring personalities from all walks of life.
What started as a necessity to reinvent myself has blossomed into a fulfilling career that combines creativity, connection, and advocacy. It’s been an extraordinary journey, and I’m proud to continue empowering others through storytelling, always rooted in the vibrant spirit of my heritage.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey has definitely had its challenges. As a Latina creator, one of the biggest hurdles was monetizing my platform early on, especially in an industry where Latina voices weren’t always represented. Balancing the demands of motherhood while building my brand required a lot of careful planning and creativity.
When COVID hit, the financial instability impacted partnerships and forced me to pivot quickly. I had to find new ways to engage my audience from home while staying true to my vision. And, as a Latina entrepreneur, securing funding and resources presented its own unique challenges, but those obstacles only strengthened my resolve to push forward.
Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
As the publisher of, Queen Bee Latina, my work is all about celebrating Latina culture and amplifying voices that deserve to be heard. I specialize in content that spans lifestyle, culture, travel, entertainment, and family adventures. What sets me apart is my ability to blend authentic cultural storytelling with dynamic experiences, creating a platform that resonates deeply with Latina women and beyond.
I’m proud of the impact I’ve made by sharing not just my own experiences but also stories that uplift and empower others. From interviews with inspiring personalities to showcasing family adventures and travel, Queen Bee Latina reflects a vibrant mix of personal and cultural identity. My goal is to represent and celebrate my community, and that sense of pride is what drives me.
What really sets Queen Bee Latina apart is its heart—our stories are rooted in a deep connection to culture, family, and authenticity. I’ve built a platform that’s not just informative, but inspiring, helping readers feel seen, heard, and celebrated.
What would you say have been one of the most important lessons you’ve learned?
The most important lesson I’ve learned on this journey is the power of resilience. Life will throw challenges your way—whether it’s navigating financial struggles, balancing family and career, or adapting to unexpected changes like the pandemic. But each challenge has taught me to pivot, grow, and keep moving forward. I’ve learned that success doesn’t come overnight, and staying true to my values and voice is what ultimately matters.
Trusting the process, embracing flexibility, and maintaining a strong sense of purpose has been essential in overcoming obstacles and continuing to build a platform that reflects who I am and the community I serve.
