Rising Stars: Meet Adil C

Today we’d like to introduce you to Adil C.

Hi Adil, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Thank you for having me on here! I’m a Canadian singer from Toronto, ON. I was born in Montreal, Quebec on April 7th, 1997.

Although I was born in Montreal, I actually grew up in Ontario because my parents moved to Toronto when I was really young. It all began due to my parent’s local-based clothing store in my hometown Mississauga, ON, Canada. I discovered my passion for music at EIGHT, that’s when I picked up my first guitar from a music store right beside my parent’s clothing boutique. This completely introduced me into music – which started my journey of learning basic guitar chords all the way to learning pop sheen vocals down the road… As the years went by it eventually led to starting bands, headliner acts in talent shows, music events, and then finally walking red carpets in Hollywood, CA. And here I am now – grateful of my fans, family, my music, and everyone around me that’s cheering me on.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Absolutely, and absolutely not. There’s been weeks of just absolute silence, and months of absolute triumph. The struggles are quite simple, yet challenging at the same time. A simple manner – the road you choose doesn’t follow the same navigation as you had in your mind compared to how reality unveils itself.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Musical Career: 2011-2018: Career Beginning and Debut Single “Good Enough”: At the start of his career, Adil pursued rock music and was the lead singer/songwriter for his band “Sins of Sincerity”. He delved in multi-instrument studio recording and became adept in percussion, studio production and sound design. At the age of 18, his vocals matured and this was a huge turnover for fans.

Sometime after, he took a break from Rock music to refuel his creative energy. But fate had other plans as during 2016, Justin Bieber released his song “Let me Love You”, and this song resonated with Adil on such a deep level that he believed Pop music to be his divine avenue. On September 17th, 2018, the young musician released his debut single “Good Enough” which was an instant hit. This sky-rocketed his fame and made him a pop icon overnight.

2019-2020: “Where are You” and “Perfect Glow”: After his huge debut in 2018, Adil started working on his next single “Where are You” and after months of sneak peaks, he finally released the song in April 2019. The song was produced by Adil and Dylan Werle, working together on the single for months between studios in Toronto and Pennsylvania. This song has broken over a million streams on Spotify and has become a pop hit.

2021: “INTHEMOOD”, Covers and Announcements: On New Year’s Eve 2021, Adil C released song“INTHEMOOD”. Adil was the producer and songwriter for this song. He presented the song to Josh Gudwin (Gudwin Community) for minor studio tweaks prior to its release. ‘INTHEMOOD’ had over a million listens in one month. The song was featured on Spotify’s “New Music Friday Canada” and trended on TikTok. In March, Adil covered “Obsessed” by Addison Rae, which went viral after Addison liked Adil’s post on Instagram. In April, Adil C and Trinity Rose announced that they will be releasing a collaboration called “I Promise”.

2022: “I Promise” and “Hey Baby”: On February 22nd, 2022 Adil C came out with his hit track of the year with his good friend Trinity Rose. The song was announced back in 2021 rumored to come out sometime in 2022 by fans, and that rumor followed suit. The song has hit over 1M across all platforms within the first month of release. Several months following ‘I Promise’, Adil C’s recent drop was ‘Hey Baby’ with Becca Brazil.

2023: “AURA”
On January 6th 2023, Adil C released his newest song ‘AURA’ as his staple 2023 piece posting on his socials “Happy New Aura”. The song has been released with Kryptic Reign Music and Xpressionthemc as he landed in LAX from YYZ on December 12th 2022, anouncing his comeback to his fans. Adil C has officially anounced that a new album will be coming this 2023.

Philanthropy: Adil C has a wide scope of background in philanthropy. Before he had even released his first pop single ‘Good Enough’ in 2018, he had already been involved with helping charities. In his early childhood, his parents taught him to always give back. In 2016, Adil C started to take on involvement with charities such as PLAN Canada, PLAN International, World Vision, and many more. In regard to his personal beliefs, Adil C is passionate about helping others. In 2020, Adil decided to be more involved with charities through the use of his music. He’s known for actively working with LetsfCancer, Pencils of Promise, CHOOSELOVE, Australian Childhood Foundation and many more.

Beliefs: “God is love. God is good. Energy is real” – This is my way of life.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
You choose your family.
