Good morning Natália, it’s such a great way to kick off the day – I think our readers will love hearing your stories, experiences and about how you think about life and work. Let’s jump right in? When was the last time you felt true joy?
For me, true joy lives in the everyday moments with my daughter, watching her grow, discover, and uncover the wonders of the world for the first time. Each laugh, each question, each little milestone feels like a gift, and in those moments, I feel the purest happiness.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Natália Spadini, and I am a Brazilian singer-songwriter and educator specializing in jazz and Brazilian music. My work is rooted in honoring tradition while reimagining it through fresh collaborations and contemporary interpretations. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of performing with internationally renowned artists and contributing to projects that highlight the richness and diversity of these musical forms. What makes my journey unique is the way I draw from both my cultural heritage and my personal experiences to create music that is both authentic and innovative. Currently, I am working on new projects that explore collaboration across cultures and tell meaningful stories through music, aiming to create deeper, more resonant connections between artists and their audiences.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
I believe what often breaks the bonds between people is misunderstanding, lack of empathy, or failing to truly listen to one another. Pride, fear, and unspoken expectations can also create distance. What restores those bonds, however, is honesty, vulnerability, and a willingness to reconnect with an open heart. Shared experiences, genuine communication, and acts of care and understanding can rebuild trust and remind us of the value of human connection.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
Yes, there were moments when the path felt uncertain and the challenges overwhelming, times when I questioned whether I could keep going. What kept me moving forward was remembering why I started, the people who believed in me, and the music itself, which has always been a source of grounding and inspiration.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Where are smart people getting it totally wrong today?
I think one place smart people often get it wrong today when they mistake knowledge for wisdom. We can have all the data, all the expertise, and still miss the human element: empathy, intuition, and connection. Understanding people, listening deeply, and valuing perspective are just as important as any insight or algorithm.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
I hope people remember me as someone who brought joy, curiosity, and connection into the world. Someone who listened, cared deeply, and created moments that made others feel seen and inspired. I hope they tell the story of someone who lived fully, loved openly, and never stopped chasing the beauty in life through music.
