Meet Xavier Albert of XavierAlbert Photography in Van Nuys

Today we’d like to introduce you to Xavier Albert.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Xavier. So, let’s start at the beginning, and we can move on from there.
Being born in Miami, FL. I started off as a graphic designer in middle school ended up getting my certification by 10th grade. And by 11th I was designing for the whole county of Broward. I wanted my images to have more quality, so I bought my first camera which was a Nikon d3000, and boy was I horrible, but I was eager to grow so kept practicing and using different light techniques and perfecting my craft. Eventually, I moved to Los Angeles to grow even more.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Definitely has been a very rough road. Between constantly getting rejected, and being told my work wasn’t good enough, or I didn’t have enough “followers.”

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about your work – what should we know?
I’m a celebrity photographer, and I specialize in high fashion editorials. And what im known for is adding cool effects to my images and also the dark shadows and having each image tell a story.

What I’m most proud of is how far I’ve come and knowing that I can still be greater than what I am today.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
My most important characteristic is being a very blunt person and knowing what I want and how I want and doing whatever it takes to get it executed.
