Today we’d like to introduce you to Veronica Ridge.
Veronica, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started hair behind the chair 20 years ago and 11 years into that I started working for a large brand that helped me acquire the skills to become a public speaker and also help launch my social media career/skills. During Covid lockdown me and my husband found a unique niche on TikTok Sharing Our real marriage and life experiences and launching our brand learning to lose Helping others realize just because you made a mistake Doesn’t mean you have to throw it all away you just get back up and continue on your path being honest and transparent with yourself and others along your journey. With the help of my platform, I have been able to start my own jewelry line called Veer that embraces healthy choices.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
Being open and transparent on social media allows you for a lot of attack whether it’s personal or on your image or your beliefs. it’s hard to always take that sometimes people are just really hurt and it makes them feel better to hurt you. I also lost my job with the large brand because of my transparency on my platform
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
In the hair industry, I’ve been most recognize for my attention to detail in color, creating super shiny hair, classy/ expensive vibrant colors, and keeping hair healthy or restoring it back to health. I am super proud that I have only been doing hair extensions for 4 of my 20 years behind the chair … and I think I’m pretty damn good at them. But I believe if you care and enjoy what you do the rest should fall in line. On social media, I am known for my transparency with marriage and not always “curated” with my real life (we film and show EVERYTHING 🙈) and as well as sharing my weight loss overall body transformation and healthy lifestyle from fitness to mental health and even stretching!!
Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
Omg yes, I have had so many mentors that have helped me become who I am today. I was terrified of public speaking and conquering that fear really helped everything else follow. My best friend that I also worked with at the large hair company always had my back and knew my potential before I did. I’ve taken improv classes and seemed advice from spiritual practitioners. All of my community of friends and clients gave me words of affirmation or Advice to help me walk thru not only my biggest fear but mosts!
