Meet Trina Johnson of BeautyNeverExpires in Riverside

Today we’d like to introduce you to Trina Johnson.

Trina, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve been a Licensed Esthetician for 22yrs. I received my license in Arizona in 1995. I moved to California in 2007 but waited to get my California license until 2009 due to California implementing reciprocity so I could just transfer my license and not have to retest. I always worked part time as an Esthetician and worked full time in dentistry for 17yrs, but in 2012 I lost my full-time job in dentistry and went full fledge to turn my Esthetic business into a full-time job. It was hard but I refused to give up on my dream. It’s taken so much hard work, faith and patience and trust in God to build my business. BeautyNeverExpires has been in existence since 2010 it’s taken me 5yrs to build a successful full-time business with steady loyal clients. Being an Esthetician has always been my passion, I love helping people with their skin issues because for a lot of people it can easily affect their self-esteem. Your skin is the first thing people notice when they see you.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s definitely been a struggle to build a successful skin care business. Most people don’t put too much value into taking care of their skin like they do their hair and nails. Even when a person has skin issues especially for women they would rather pile on a ton of makeup to cover the problem than getting their skin treated in order to have healthy skin. It takes a lot of time and effort to educate people about the importance of proper skin care and the treatments available and explaining how important maintenance is in order to maintain healthy skin.

So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the BeautyNeverExpires story. Tell us more about the business.
At my business BeautyNeverExpires I do Facials, Acne Treatments, Microdermabrasion, Peels, Microcurrent, LED light therapy, Anti-Aging Facials, Eyebrow Design, Lashes. My specialty and what I’m known for is corrective skin treatments and treating skin of color. What sets me apart from a lot of other Estheticians would be majority of my business about 95% is strictly skin care alone.

I’m most proud of the clients who I’ve had the pleasure of treating their skin and seeing the results. When a client tells you, they feel so confident now that they have beautiful skin without having to wear a ton of makeup.

What sets me apart is that I’m so passionate about what I do. I’m constantly doing continuing education classes so I can stay on topic of the latest products, services and equipment so I can always give my clients the best service and results. I always listen to my clients wants and needs so I can give them the best skin treatment possible.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I don’t go by luck. I go by having faith in God that he will direct my path and continue to bless me.
