Meet Tiara Kennedy of West Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiara Kennedy.

Tiara, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I’m an actress whose journey in the entertainment world started in the vibrant city of Atlanta, Georgia. Ever since I can remember, I’ve had a love for storytelling and a natural pull toward the dramatic arts. Growing up, I immersed myself in Atlanta’s local theater scene, learning the craft, performing in diverse productions, and building a foundation that shaped who I am today.

Atlanta gave me my start, but my dreams led me west to Los Angeles, the heart of the film and TV industry. Moving here was a big step, but one I took with faith and determination, trusting that God had a plan for my path. Every audition, every role, and every opportunity has been a chance to grow, learn, and step into the person He is shaping me to be.

To continue sharpening my skills, I enrolled at Columbia College Hollywood where I dove deeper into filmmaking and acting, learning from experienced mentors and gaining the tools to navigate this competitive industry. The education, combined with persistence and faith, has helped me build a solid foundation for a career I am passionate about.

Through it all, I give thanks to God because without His guidance and the faith I hold, I would not be where I am today. My journey is a mix of hard work, dedication, and trusting Him every step of the way. I am excited to keep bringing compelling characters to life, captivating audiences, and honoring the opportunities I have been blessed with.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The road definitely hasn’t been smooth. When I first moved to Los Angeles, I was working three jobs just to make ends meet. Balancing survival with pursuing acting was incredibly challenging, and there were times I questioned if I could keep going. I didn’t even have a car for nearly a year, and at one point I only had $200 to my name.

But those struggles really shaped me. They taught me perseverance, resourcefulness, and how deeply I wanted this career. I had to keep my hopes up and trust that God would always show up, and sure enough, He did. Fast forward three years, and I’m proud to say I’m now a full-time actress. I was able to leave my 9-to-5 job over a year ago, and while the journey is still filled with ups and downs, I wouldn’t trade those earlier challenges because they made this moment that much more meaningful.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I am both a model and actress, specializing in film, television, and commercial work. Recently, I had the opportunity to play the lead in a thriller film, which was such an exciting and rewarding experience.

What I’m most proud of is the growth I’ve experienced throughout my journey. This industry is not easy, and I’ve faced my share of challenges, but what sets me apart is my determination and refusal to give up. I’ve built myself into a hardworking and humble person, and I take pride in that. For me, it’s about pushing forward no matter how tough things get, because I know the persistence and dedication I bring to my craft will always carry me through.

What has been the most important lesson you’ve learned along your journey?
The most important lesson I’ve learned in this journey is the value of boundaries, especially in Hollywood. It’s very easy to be taken advantage of if you don’t know who you are or what you stand for. I’ve learned that being comfortable in yourself and being willing to say no, even when the money looks tempting, is essential. Not all opportunities are good opportunities.

As a Christian woman, I’ve had to turn down roles that didn’t align with my morals, my faith, or simply who I am as a person. At first, it wasn’t easy, but I’ve come to realize that holding firm to my standards will take me much farther than compromising them ever could. In an industry that can be cutthroat, staying true to your values is one of the most important things you can do. Through it all, I’ve learned to trust God always, knowing He will guide me to the right path and the opportunities that are meant for me.
