Hi Thiago, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Thiago Carvalho: A Journey from Brazil to Hollywood
With over 15 years of experience as an actor and director, Thiago Carvalho has always had a clear dream: to make his mark in Hollywood, the global epicenter of entertainment and acting.
Currently, Thiago serves as the director of the International Conservatory of Brazil and the Conservatory of Performing Arts in Los Angeles, playing a key role in training and mentoring new talent. Now based in Los Angeles, he is dedicated to helping Brazilian actors pursue their dreams in California.
His journey has been marked by years of investment, creativity, and resilience. He has spent thousands of dollars, endured countless sleepless nights, and made numerous personal sacrifices. Yet, he sees his path as an ongoing process, knowing there is still much to achieve.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

Thiago Carvalho is the director of the Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory in Hollywood, and the artistic director of the Stanislavsky Institute in Brazil.
As an actor, he has appeared in HBO series such as “The Secret Life of Couples” and has been featured in telenovelas on Globo and Record (in “Nos Tempos do Imperador” and “Amor Sem Igual”). In film and streaming, he has acted in award-winning movies like “Skull: The Mask of Anhangá,” “Black and White,” and independent circuit films such as “Shadow Squad” and “The Wheelchair Knight.”
As a director, he has received several nominations for his productions at major festivals such as the RioWebFest, and he recently directed the feature film “Not Every Man but Always a Man,” Thiago is also a jury member of the RioWebFest and the Los Angeles WebFest.
He specializes in Stanislavsky’s system, Meisner, Adler, and Chekhov’s technique and has trained hundreds of actors in Brazil. He is internationally recognized by major Hollywood industry figures such as Eric Sherman, David Bridel, Natalia Lazarus.
