Meet TEN. THE ARTIST of Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to TEN. THE ARTIST

Hi TEN. THE ARTIST, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My name is Blake Abney and my artist name is TEN. THE ARTIST. I’m a Pop/Rock artist from Greenville South Carolina. I was raised in small town called Easley where I played baseball growing up and graduated from Easley High School. I’m 25 years old and have been pursuing music since 2021, but have been creating music since I was 8 years Old by writing music, songs, and playing instruments such as piano, guitar, trumpet, and drums. I’m currently working with Ethika Music and started with the label in November 2024. Before that I was working with Top Floor Entertainment group affiliated with Florida Rapper Rod Wave and was managed by RIO. I graduated from Full Sail University based out of Orlando Florida with my bachelor’s is Audio Engineering and Music Production.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
My obstacles/changelles would be just the grind day by day that took years to get to the place where I am now. I battled addiction in 2021 and music is what saved my life from that lifestyle. I have been sober for 4 years and used my addictive personality into my music and my career focused and focused on myself, a couple years later I was messaged by Matt Cook CEO of Ethika to move 3000 miles away from home because he believed in my music and gave me a chance. That being said it doesn’t matter how long it takes it only matters if you get there and that’s what I world day and night to do.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I just dropped my new singles Hollywood and Kurt Cobain on all platforms.

These singles are a sneak peak of my up common album Find A Way that will be dropping in May.

This album is about no matter what in life, you have to find a way. This deals with all situations such as addiction, bad habits, relationships, friendships, good times, bad times and just life in general you can’t stop and look back you have to keep moving forward and find a way through the adversity and find your self and create self love first before anything.

This album is a roller coaster of emotions that shows my thoughts and feeling throughout my life, situations I been in, demons I fought, relationships I been through and etc. I explain these situations in rock / pop punk style and show how I reacted and also how I fixed it.

My sound is a catchy pop rock / pop punk sound that has a little bit of early 2000’s rock mixed with the new culture of music in present time with emo rap, rock music and new age pop/alternative.

My inspirations are a wide variety but crafted my sound into the original style you hear today. The 5 artist that inspired me are Juice Wrld, MGK, Mac Miller, Imagine Dragons, & Kayne. I took advice , techniques, styles, images , and etc from each artist that made me the artist I am today.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
My label Ethika Music deserves credit for giving me the opportunity to pursue my dream and giving me chance to share my thoughts and feeling and stories to the world.

My manager Kuron deserves credit for believing in my sound and vision and making everything coming to life by working day and night to put me in the right doors and make sure I’m in the right situations and moments to build my brand and music.

My family/friends deserves credit for always supporting me and being there for me since the beginning.
