Today we’d like to introduce you to Tay Lee.
Tay, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Meet Tay Lee the owner & founder of NABI Lagree Studio opening soon in Woodland Hills, CA. “Nabi” means butterfly in Korean and is an honor to my grandmother from Korea, who is my guardian angel. Butterflies symbolize evolving, transforming and becoming something new. I hope that everyone who walks into Nabi Lagree studio transforms into their highest & best self. The symbol for Nabi Lagree is spiritual sacred geometry, It was designed to represents a butterfly inside a sound bowl.
I grew up dancing jazz, ballet, & lyrical competitively from a young age, was a cheerleader, and also played the piano and guitar. Fitness & the arts have always inspired and influenced me. As a little girl, I dreamed of having my own studio one day. When I was 16, my first job was assistant dance teacher to young children ages 8 and under.
I moved to California as a young adult, dropped out of business school, was printed in Maxim Australia, and I started taking group fitness classes in Pilates and Lagree. I got certified in both and fell in love with the Lagree method particularly, and started teaching at every Lagree studio in Los Angeles.
I immediately grew a following of clients that loved me & would follow me to different locations just to take my Lagree classes.
Now a Master Trainer in Lagree, I will hold trainings in the method at my new studio as well as have daily 50min Lagree classes on a Megapro along with stretch classes & sound healing meditations classes.
Aside from my fitness certifications, I am also a certified sound healer and incorporate sound healing frequencies & meditations using crystal quartz or alchemy bowls. These crystal sound healing bowls help to regulate the nervous system, release stored traumas, rewire the brain, and revitalize the body’s cells back to their original harmonious state.
I believe in mind, body, and soul connection-everything is connected and aligned with one another.
As a survivor of domestic violence , I now makes it my mission to help uplift, empower and be a safe space for anyone that walks in my studio doors & takes my classes.
A healthy environment where you can do a workout and zen out after with some healing sound frequencies.
I love to teach, inspiring, and help others to be their highest & best self.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No it hasn’t always been a smooth road!
I think every entrepreneur and business owner faces challenges and struggles along the way. As a single women business owner, with no business partner, no family…I’ve had to rely heavily on trusting myself and my own intuition when making crucial decisions and learning to use my voice more.
Trusting the process and having faith that it will work out is easier said then done, I’ve learned how to cope and manage my stress and I’m grateful for the growth I’ve had as individual while opening my first studio.
There has been some hiccups with construction, I’ve already had to fire some people, but I think it’s all apart of the process and learning who to have around and who not to have around.
All of the trials I’ve went through and all the traumatic or tough experiences I had as well ,have helped shape me into this resilient woman, that can overcome anything and any situation.
This is what makes me such a great teacher too. I love so hard and I persevere – I be the person I needed to others.
So although it has not been an easy process of getting my studio open, I know it will be so amazing because of all the the energy, blood, sweat, tears, prayers and my whole soul has been poured into this studio.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

At NABI Lagree Studios I teach Lagree classes to adults and I also play sound bowls to help realign your body to a balanced state.
I’m most known for teaching my sweet and spicy Lagree classes!
I love connecting with others and helping to uplift their spirits, and showing them they are strong both physically and mentally.
What sets me apart from others in this business is my genuine love people, my professional dance background, and also that I incorporate sound healing with crystal bowls at my fitness studio.
I am most proud of seeing my studio and vision come to life and not giving up when things were hard.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
GOD.
I believe God has been there for me since day 1. All thanks to God & the universe.
I am blessed to have such amazing clients from all the studios I’ve taught at that have cheered me on & who have believed in me throughout the years. I am forever grateful for you all!
