Today we’d like to introduce you to Tatiana Vianna.

Tatiana, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I was born and raised in Brazil but have resided in Los Angeles for 29 years. I have always stayed connected with the culture and latest beauty trends of Brazil. In early 2017, I transitioned out of corporate American (after 20 + years) to pursue a passion. I decided to enter the health and wellness industry and bring this refreshing treatment to Los Angeles. After completing the required educational and licensing requirements in California, I spent time studying the Lymphatic System in Brazil and developed an innovative treatment.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Far from smooth, it took me four years to get enough courage to do this. I was comfortably unhappy in corporate America. I worked full time and attended massage school full time in the evenings and on weekends for a year. I was overstressed, overworked and in financial debt from student loans. I started working out of my house to build enough clientele in order to afford paying rent at a small studio space. From there, I transitioned into a bigger location where I know have two salon studios.

Brazilian Beauty Bar – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
Brazilian Lymphatic Drainage is a specialty massage that is a little-known beauty secret worldwide. For decades, Brazilian women have improved circulation, reduced water retention, and naturally detoxed and slimmed their bodies using lymphatic drainage. After graduating from the renowned National Holistic Institute in Studio City, California, I soon realized the lymphatic curriculum had fallen short of my expectations, as the Brazilian method of lymphatic drainage is not taught in the U.S. As a native of Brazil, it was important for me to learn this longstanding technique, so I took several classes in Brazil to become an expert in the field and bring the knowledge back to the US.

I learned that in addition to beauty, which is the main emphasis of lymphatic drainage in Brazil, the treatment has an extraordinary amount of health benefits, including relief for immune-related issues, post-partum, toxin-flushing, and postoperative fluid retention. With the knowledge I obtained in Brazil, I developed my own, specialized series of therapeutic movements in very a specific order, following the body’s natural direction of lymph fluid flow to properly guide it to lymph vessels, resulting in a release of fluids via urine. With this unique technique, I figured out how to allow the body to fully detox utilizing my hands only no machines, and clear any stagnant fluid from the lymph vessel, promoting a natural cleanse that reduces swelling and delivers an immediate, visibly slimmer result.

Currently, I’m the only Brazilian lymphatic drainage therapist who is licensed in and by the state of California. The results are truly amazing, with remarkable slimming changes to the face and body after just one hour of lymphatic massage. I limit the number of people we see a day to 4-5 max in order to keep the experience personal, not rushed and with a boutique vibe.

What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
Changing how people feel. Lymphatic Drainage stimulates energy levels and the metabolism. People who suffer from immune disorders benefit greatly from the treatment. With the slimming result being a bonus seeing a client feel their clothes loser when they get dressed by their slimmer figure and face makes me feel like I’ve done something rewarding for someone.
