Meet Tammy Le of LoveMade in Hollywood

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tammy Le.

Tammy, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I went to a lot of events when I was a teenager with my best friend and business partner Linda Nguyen. Through events we were exposed to a lot of dope music and met a lot of amazing people. We coordinated hip hop shows at a young age and during that time I met will.i.am of Black Eyed Peas. I’ve been working for Will as his Director of Communications for the past 10 years. In 2009 Linda and I started LoveMade which is a design, consulting, marketing and events agency. We coordinate events and produce designs with a focus on females. Linda has a background in design/consulting and I have a background in marketing/events. Although we have other full time jobs, LoveMade has always been our passion project. It was founded on the idea to pursue something from the heart and we aim to inspire people to always do what they love.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It hasn’t always been smooth but we’ve learned a lot and it was worth it. We did a lot of free work in order to build our network and brand. When you have your own company you can’t expect to make money all the time and that can be discouraging. The key is to stay positive, be consistent, trust the process, and enjoy the journey. You can’t take work and life too seriously.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the LoveMade story. Tell us more about the business.
I’m currently doing an event series called Self Love Lessons. I love these events so much. Auragami LA is my promotional partner and the events are held at Hotel Figueroa in DTLA. Self-Love Lessons is a wellness workshop event series that teaches women in our community to build, grow, learn, connect and love on a personal and professional level. The goal of these events is to create a space that’s open-minded, non-judgmental and safe for everyone who attends all while focusing on the importance of self-love and self-care.

I also do a series called FlyGrls with Ladies First and my friend Janessa Molina. FlyGrls is a benefit dance party with a mission to support and celebrate female artists, brands, and organizations. We book female artists, DJ’s and dancers. We believe in giving back and helping others so we donate a portion of the proceeds to a non-profit organization that helps and assists the community and those in need.

Love Made Me Do It is my networking series for female professionals. These events have different themes which include music, fashion, entertainment, beauty, media, fitness, health, business, etc. This series encourages attendees to build friendships and business relationships in order to strengthen female leadership in Los Angeles and around the world.

I’m really proud of these event series because they are about helping others and building community. And although these events are focused on females, everyone is welcome to attend.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
I’m lucky I’ve met so many amazing people which allowed me to build a very supportive and powerful network. It’s really helped me in life and business. I’m also really lucky to have my friends and family.
