Hi Tami, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Just Visiting LLC was founded by TJ Roby in 2015. While serving time, he witnessed firsthand how important it was for incarcerated individuals to stay connected with their families and loved ones and how lack of reliable transportation created a major barrier to visitation. From that experience, he wrote down a vision and brought it to life.

Now, more than 11 years later even through the challenges of COVID. Just Visiting LLC continues to serve families and friends of incarcerated loved ones by providing safe, reliable, and punctual transportation services, giving them peace of mind during an already difficult time. To date, we have proudly serviced over 100 families and continue to do so with compassion, consistency, and care.

Keeping families connected is what we do.

Studies have shown that consistent family connection and visitation can help reduce recidivism, improve mental health, strengthen family bonds, and support successful reentry after release. Sometimes, simply showing up can provide hope, accountability, healing, and the reminder that no one is forgotten.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
During the COVID-19 pandemic, visitation throughout California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) facilities was suspended for extended periods of time to help prevent outbreaks inside institutions. Families faced constant policy changes, travel restrictions, testing requirements, limited communication, and uncertainty surrounding when they would be able to see their loved ones again. CDCR later implemented phased reopening plans, strict health screenings, masking requirements, and modified visitation procedures in an effort to safely restore family connection while protecting the health of incarcerated individuals, staff, and visitors.

Once visitation reopened, Just Visiting LLC stepped in to help families navigate the transition by providing dependable transportation, updated visitation guidance, and support during a time when many families were still adjusting to the new visitation procedures. Our company followed all COVID-19 safety guidelines during transportation services, including mandatory masks, hand sanitizer availability, temperature checks, and enhanced vehicle sanitation protocols to help ensure the safety and comfort of every passenger.

To further prioritize cleanliness and passenger safety, we utilized our sister company, Just Visiting Pressure Washing LLC, which was founded during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through professional sanitation and cleaning services, we were able to maintain clean, sanitized vehicles and provide families with added peace of mind while traveling to visit their loved ones.

Just Visiting LLC helped reunite loved ones after long periods of separation, ensuring families could once again experience the healing power of in-person connection.
