Today we’d like to introduce you to Shooter Trav

Hi Shooter, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
I am a director, editor, writer and general film professional. I received a Bachelors in Journalism & Mass Communication with a concentration in Broadcast Production from North Carolina A&T State University in Greensboro North Carolina. I started out as a videographer shooting and editing music videos for local talent throughout North Carolina as well as commercials, weddings, events and short films. I moved to Los Angeles in 2013 because I felt burned out with the North Carolina music scene so I booked a one way flight to Los Angeles. All I took with me was a book bag with my laptop and camera.
I started Media House Entertainment in October of 2017 which is my video production company and founded Media House News April 2019. Media House News is a blog page on instagram that’s dedicated to the videography community. In April 2020 I kicked off the Media House News YouTube platform, it has grown to amassed over 12k subscribers and growing

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. The big thing is trying to stay motivated on days where you feel like you putting in work for nothing. Usually I’ll receive a messsge from a stranger and it reminds me that I’m on the right track and to keep going hard.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
For years I specialized in directing music videos, filming vlogs for artist and really filming anything I could with my camera. These days I’m more focused on growing my platform Media House News and helping the video community grow bigger.

How do you think about happiness?
Seeing the success from my hard work pay off.
