Today we’d like to introduce you to Shelby Willis
Hi Shelby, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I have worked in the wedding industry for 12 years, but started on the venue side of things. I fell in love with florals when I realized that it was the flowers that transformed a room or wedding space. Before the flowers show up, it’s the tables and chairs and maybe some decor, but then the whole room comes to life when the flowers arrive. It was always my favorite part!
When I was finally ready to quit my day job in 2017, I was nervous but knew my heart was headed in the right direction. I was so excited to be my own boss and have my own clients. I was exhilarated by flowers and still am. Their colors, textures, and the variety of things you can do with them to make each wedding different, is what continually fuels my passion.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Overall I have been so blessed with my growth over the years. Every year my business gets bigger which of course means new levels of challenge but I am beyond humbled that I have been able to support myself and contribute to my family in this way.

We specialize in whimsical, garden inspired designs. I use interesting ingredients, and sometimes non floral elements, but try to make them look effortless and organic, as if they are grown in that way. I am most proud of the unique couples who choose Love Her Madly because my design speaks to them and that they trust me to bring their vision to life.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
From a professional aspect, I love that our city has so many diverse wedding venues. My least favorite part about that is driving through traffic to get there.
