Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaneen Bonner.
Hi Shaneen , we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My story begins
As I arrive in Los Angeles from Flint, Michigan, to fulfill a divine call from God. In the process, the bus station loses my clothes, and I become homeless, living in a rat-infested abandoned house without running water or heat. Throughout my homelessness, I never gave up due to prior circumstances. I found the strength to pursue her passion for music during homelessness and after homelessness; I became an entrepreneur and a two-time Grammy- Considered singer/songwriter with several music awards and nominations.
I am the CEO and founder of a production company that produced our first movie, “From Homeless to Hollywood Documentary,” which is a documentary about my life journey. The movie is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it has not been a smooth road. However, it has taught me resilience and never to quit while you are in the storm because one day, the sun will shine again.
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I have now discovered that I have a gift for media. I own a radio station, a magazine, and a production company that produces content that speaks to the masses.
What sets me apart from anyone else is my ability to create compelling content that thrills the audience.
We’d be interested to hear your thoughts on luck and what role, if any, you feel it’s played for you?
My faith in God has played a significant role in my life.
