Meet Oliviia Tcargush

Today we’d like to introduce you to Oliviia Tcargush.

Oliviia Tcargush

Hi Oliviia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey began at a very young age when I started as a child model and actor. I constantly asked my mom to take me to auditions, and she has always been supportive. During the time I was allowed as a child to spend on the computer (or when I sneaked in to do it), I would browse casting websites and apply to everything I felt suited for. I had the opportunity to do a few magazine covers and campaigns, which made me realize that there’s no better feeling than being joyful in front of the camera and bringing joy to everyone watching. After that, I just never stopped. I spent about four years in a theater company, performing on Moscow’s most famous historical stages. I was constantly involved in TV shows, traveling with various productions, having a lot of fun, and gaining valuable experiences.

Acting opens up numerous doors for exploring different professions and perspectives, which is why I’ve tried many within the field and never wanted to do anything else. It’s a continuous journey of learning, growing, and exploring.

I always dreamed of pursuing my acting degree in Los Angeles, but obviously, I needed to learn English for that. At 16, I began taking English extremely seriously, and by the age of 18, I moved to Los Angeles with fluent English skills to start pursuing my degree in acting. Now, most people cannot tell that I have an accent or that I am not from California, and it’s truly flattering!

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Certainly, there have been certain obstacles on my journey. While the challenges may have seemed overwhelming at the moment, I’ve come to appreciate that they are what make the journey truly fascinating and contribute significantly to my personal growth and stability. To be entirely candid, as artists, we often adopt a mindset of “It may suck, but I can use this for my work!” We have the ability to transform something challenging into a beautiful form of art that others can resonate with. So, in summary, yes, there have been challenges, but I choose to focus on my blessings, not on my challenges.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
I’m based in Los Angeles. I am an actor and model. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of being a part of several theater productions, and a couple of my favorite roles have been portraying Claire in “Rumors” by Neil Simon and CB’s Sister in”Dog Sees God” by Bert V. Royal. I have been constantly working on sets, filming many exciting projects. I cannot announce the projects yet, but I am excited to share! Also, I’ve been collaborating with my friends on writing and producing short films, commercials, and self-produced scenes, which has been a rewarding creative outlet for me.

I am hard on myself with my work. I believe that this self-imposed high standard is one of my strengths as an actor. I dive headfirst into my roles, consistently surprising myself and embracing the opportunity to explore and grow. That is what makes me proud of myself and my work.

How do you define success?
Staying true to my principles, goals, and aspirations. Having a voice powerful enough to make an impact. Having a fruitful life – being able to give and provide. In essence, success is the harmonious blend of personal integrity, influence, and a meaningful contribution to the world.
