Today we’d like to introduce you to Hovo Tufenk.
Hovo , please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I went to my first music festival in 2006 I saw a guy walking around taking pictures and I thought to myself wow this is a cool gig to walk around taking pics capturing ppl good times and creating memories for them to have forever. Next week I went and I bought myself a camera, I contacted Plurlife asking if they were looking for an event photographer to shoot at events that people would post on their website and that’s where my journey for photography began. This journey oh photography has been amazing. I’ve been blessed to come from an entertainment background becuase originally when I moved out to LA from Greece I came with one dream to become an actor but instead I fell in love with being behind the camera instead of in front of the camera. I was fortunate enough to make friends in the industry that are big named television stars and movie stars thru going to auditions and networking n making friends.
Has it been a smooth road?
Some of the struggles people would say oh you do photography so does everyone in Los Angeles was always disappointing to hear but I always had a creative eye and always said my work speaks for itself. I’d always say don’t judge the photographer but instead judge the photography.
What is the most difficult part of what you do?
Honestly, there isn’t a hard part about my job, and I love what I do. I love capturing people smiles, people reactions, seeing their joy when they can look back on the day and having a picture to remember it, makes it all worth the wild and brings me joy and happiness.
How do you define success?
My success is defined in my pictures when they first see it for the first time and seeing their reaction is the best success anyone can ask for.
What are your plans for the future?
The sky is the limit. I hold the key to my future and my success. I’d love to continue what I do and bring joy, happiness, and memories in people’s life. I’d love to travel the world and see what this beautiful place we call earth has to offer. some people thank granted for what they have in front of them. I live life day by day and being thankful for the blessings around me.
