Meet Nazneen Shaik of Torrance

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nazneen Shaik.

Hi Nazneen, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’m Nazneen Shaik, originally from a small town(Anantapur) in India, and my journey to becoming a successful content creator was anything but easy. When I moved to the U.S. in 2014 at the age of 22, I faced a huge cultural shock—struggling with language barriers and basic everyday tasks. But everything changed when I became a mom at 23. I started connecting with other parents at my son’s play school, which helped me gain confidence in my English-speaking skills.

The real turning point came when I planned my first-ever trip to New York City. After creating an itinerary that covered over 30 spots in just four days, a friend encouraged me to share it online. That led to the launch of my website, EAZYNAZY, where I began sharing travel itineraries to make vacations easier for others.

In 2016, I got my first brand collaboration, and despite having only 1,000 followers, it sparked my journey into the influencer world. Over time, I worked hard to improve my English, volunteering at a local museum, and that transformed both my communication skills and content creation. Today, I’m proud to be recognized as one of the Top 10 LA Travel Bloggers by Los Angeles Entrepreneur Magazine in 2021, helping families around the world discover amazing travel experiences.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Can you imagine the journey of a 22 year old girl from a small town in India who wouldn’t even know how to speak English confidently, move to the U.S., and get recognized as one of the top 10 travel bloggers in LA can be smooth? Well, it definitely wasn’t . I didn’t know how to drive a car or use public transportation, I was fully dependent on my husband, even for small everyday tasks. I faced language barriers, cultural differences, and a lack of confidence. I didn’t know how to navigate daily life or even have a simple conversation. My first year here was isolating, and it took me time to find my footing.

One of my biggest challenges was overcoming my fear of speaking English. I could write blogs and emails, but speaking was a whole different struggle. That’s when my husband pushed me to volunteer at Local Museums which became a game changer in life.

The influencer journey also came with its own set of challenges. I started with zero followers and had no understanding of the influencer industry, so learning how to create compelling content, pitch to brands, and build my community took time. But through perseverance and constant learning, I was able to grow. Another challenge has been gaining trust from my followers. For the past 9 years, I’ve built my platform while always being behind the camera, never posting a picture of myself online. Despite that, my 109k Instagram followers continue to trust my recommendations and the content I share. It hasn’t been easy to earn that trust, but the authentic content I provide has helped me connect with my audience in a meaningful way. Meta, indirectly, played a huge role in helping me find my way as a content creator, transforming me from a lost immigrant into someone who carved out a career in an industry I never imagined being part of.

Today, I see these challenges as stepping stones that helped me become the creator I am. Every struggle has been a valuable lesson in resilience and growth.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I’m a content creator specializing in family travel, and I’m most known for sharing authentic itineraries that cater to families looking for hassle-free, memorable adventures. What sets me apart from other influencers is the fact that I’m constantly behind the camera, capturing real moments of my family’s travel experiences, & not staged. This approach has helped me connect with my audience on a deeper level because they can see the genuine joy and struggles of family travel through my eyes, not just a curated version of it.

Over the years, I’ve built a platform that resonates with 109k loyal followers on Instagram, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to see how many families trust my recommendations for their own trips. Whether it’s tips on traveling with kids, finding family-friendly spots, or navigating new cities, I’ve made it my mission to make travel more accessible and less intimidating.

What I’m most proud of, though, is how I’ve managed to transform my own journey from feeling like a lost immigrant into being recognized as one of the Top 10 Travel Bloggers in LA. The fact that I was able to take my personal struggles with language barriers, cultural adaptation, and self-doubt and turn them into something that helps and inspires others, really drives me. It’s been an incredible ride, and I feel that my journey still has so much more to offer.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Over the next 5-10 years, I see the influencer industry evolving in some exciting ways, especially with the rapid advancements in AI and virtual reality. These technologies are likely to revolutionize how brands collaborate with creators, offering even more immersive and personalized experiences for audiences. We could see virtual influencers gaining more popularity, but I believe authentic, human-driven content will still have a significant place in the market, people crave genuine connections, and that’s something technology can’t replicate.

Another big shift I foresee is the growing importance of niche content. As the industry matures, creators who specialize in specific areas, like family travel, sustainable living, or even multicultural experiences, will continue to gain traction. Audiences will increasingly look for authentic voices in spaces that resonate with their values, and the demand for transparency will only increase.

On a more practical level, I think we’ll see more brand collaborations that go beyond just one-off campaigns and evolve into long-term partnerships. Brands will continue to value creators not just for their following, but for the authenticity and trust they’ve built with their audience. In short, the future of the influencer industry will be about blending technology with authenticity, with creators continuing to play a key role in shaping the stories that resonate with their communities.
