Meet Navjot Dhaliwal of Metaphysical Goddess Coaching LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Navjot Dhaliwal

Hi Navjot, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Navjot Kaur Dhaliwal and I am someone who has taken all of my pain and turned it wisdom and I was born to help you do the same. I am a Punjabi American Woman (Punjab is a State in Northern India) who was born and raised in Southern California. Being raised in an Immigrant household shaped a lot of my world view in beautiful AND challenging ways. I was very involved in our traditional Punjabi folk dances- Bhangra and Diddha, went to the Sikh Gurudwara every Friday and Sunday, and loved the connection to my roots.

Although there is an immense amount of light in my cultural upbringing, there was definitely a lot of shadows in my culture as well that constantly created chaos within myself. I was always the black sheep, the rebel, questioning everything- not fully understanding why my family and culture was so obsessed with caring about what people think to the point where the Punjabi community seemed to be running our lives instead of our own personal choices. I always felt like I was in the land of “freedom” that my parents sacrificed everything for their children to be born in, yet nothing felt free about my existence at all. It seemed as if my career, marriage, what I could dress like, how I could act, and who I could be was pre-set by these heavy cultural expectations.

I could have never predicted what my life would have turned out to be, all I know was that I was a rebellious child simply by being a young girl with a loud voice, laughter, and a full self expression. I never understood why a girl with a voice seemed to be a problem and oftentimes made me feel isolated, confused, and like there was something wrong with me, especially inside my home. I definitely knew I was a young woman that was going to change things up for her lineage, and as most first-generation cycle breakers, you truly feel like you’re blind because you’re the one forging the new path.

As I grew up, I continued to fight for my right to fully express myself when it came to expressing my thoughts, emotions, and even style/fashion, choose who I want to date, choose what type of career fits my natural God-given gifts, and even having friends of different backgrounds throughout my teen years and even early adult life. I still remember when I changed my major from Biology to Psychology behind my parent’s back because God forbid I choose a degree in a subject that I am super interested in instead of choosing a degree based on what job or how much money it would give me after I graduate. I had to do all of above, which are basic human choices, in secret and felt like I was living a double life- the “me” that I could be outside the walls of my home and the “me” I could be inside my home around my family.

I went from feeling like I had to fight and struggle just to be myself majority of my life to feeling absolutely liberated in my being, doing what I love for a living, healing my patterns with dating toxic men, mending my relationship with my family, and living a WHOLE life now. No more double life- my parents know exactly who I am and love me for it (even if they still don’t quite understand it hehe). I was the cycle breaker in my lineage and I now lead and coach women to transform their lives as well.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It has not been a smooth road to say the least.

One of my biggest challenges was that as soon as I started dating, I was in.abusive relationship of 5 years and felt that I could not tell anyone about it because of the need to look perfect all of the time. I also didn’t want to tell my parents as they would have given me a “Should have just gotten an arranged marriage- I told you so!” instead of supporting me in a horrific time of my life. So, naturally, I developed a mask- I call it a mask of positivity. I ignored my emotions and pretended that everything was okay. Internally, I was in a state of deep and dark confusion, riddled with shame, and an extreme sense of loneliness as I felt that I couldn’t tell anyone what I was going through.

This challenge ended up leading me to a 13 year spiritual + psychological awakening that forged the path to where I am today. The year that I left my abusive relationship was the year that I added a minor in Philosophy to my major in Psychology and Social Behavior. My first Philosophy course was Metaphysics and it was the catalyst to have me question how my subconscious mind was actually creating my reality on a deep level. I became a seeker of wisdom and knowledge in the realms of spirituality and how spiritual healing could truly help me release the patterns engrained deep in my psyche from my childhood trauma. I eventually got certified in Crystalline Harmonics, Reiki levels 1 and 2, Yoga Teacher Training, Neurolinguistic Programming, Trauma Informed Coaching, Somatic Coaching, Feminine Embodiment, and now I am on track to opening up my own coaching school to certify others in my multi-modality approach that helps integrate the conscious and unconscious mind… because who wouldn’t want a regulated nervous system while reaching their goals?!

As you know, we’re big fans of Metaphysical Goddess Coaching LLC . For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
I am a trauma-informed transformational life coach that helps people heal generational wounds so they can leave authentic and confident lives. I have private coaching, group/couples coaching, and I host international retreats. I specialize in subconscious reprogramming- so being able to support my clients in reaching their goals by going within and releasing the limiting beliefs that have been trapped in their nervous system that hinder them from moving forward with what they truly desire. I am different from the others because I am more than just a let-me-teach-you type of coach. I am very hands on and intentional about my work and will be in it with my clients. I truly understand that everyone’s subconscious limitations are different as everyone’s life story that shaped their perceptions is different so my approach is customized. I use a multi-modality approach because I love to get to know my clients and how they pick up on spiritual and psychological concepts. I am actually currently going through a rebrand! My new brand is The Rising Phoenix as the Phoenix is a great representation of the work I do with taking my clients through deep transformation. I am extremely proud and passionate about my brand because of the transformations I get to witness- I have seen my clients go from having no self confidence to feeling secure in themselves and navigating their lives with intention. I want anyone out there to know that transformation is possible, you don’t have to live in survival mode in your career + relationships. You can be the PHOENIX of your life- rising above from all of the shortcomings that were sent to destroy you. Your pain did not go in vain- your shadows are here to show you how to love yourself more. It’s time to stop abandoning yourself and suppressing your pain to the point where it is trapped in your nervous system and having a hold on your perception of this beautiful life that you get to consciously create! I have an incredible group coaching program called The Rising Phoenix Mastermind that is a transformational experience on all levels mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical so you can live a more intentional and free life. I offer Free Consultations that anyone can book with the link in my instagram bio- @metaphysical_goddess

How do you think about luck?
My best friend once said to me that “Life only makes sense when you look back at it not when you’re living it.” When I look back at my life, I see that every single experience I had was connecting dots to where I am now and I believe that diving deep into my studies of spirituality and psychology played a part in the knowledge I have, but there were many instances of luck and faith that kept me going to create true experiential wisdom. I believe in manifestation and miracles, I have received many and I feel incredibly grateful, privileged, and lucky to be able to be standing here today.
