Today we’d like to introduce you to Michal Cohen

Hi Michal, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey as a Make Up Artist and have been an Artist now for about 15 years. And then when I had my daughter 9 years ago, I decided that I wanted to bring in more steady income so I started exploring Microblading. And then it just gradually expanded from that. I started doing nano brows, Scalp micro pigmentation, eyeliner, lip, tattooing, and even saline tattoo removal.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
There has definitely been a ton of ups and downs. I never expected to start my own business and then keep it running while also continuing to maintain my Makeup career and raise a child! It’s definitely a struggle and a challenge, but it has been one of the most worthwhile things that I’ve done for myself. I think balancing family life and work life is the biggest struggle and it’s something that I work on every day.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I do both make up as well as permanent make up. For many years, I have been known to be understated in my makeup work. I’m always looking to achieve a natural look without overdoing it. This has always translated into my work as well as into my beauty tattooing work. I’m proud of raising my daughter in this world and showing her that beauty doesn’t have to be over the top, it can be natural and understated while still being gorgeous.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
I love the weather in our city and being able to get outside in nature very easily. Traffic is easily the worst part about our city.
